Maine’s highest court has ruled that Republican presidential candidate Chris Christie will not appear on the 2024 ballot after his campaign failed to gather enough certified signatures from registered voters.
The decision stems from an appeal brought by Christie’s campaign in response to a previous decision by Secretary of State Shenna Bellows that he did not gather the necessary 2,000 certified signatures. Bellows claimed that the Christie campaign turned in just 844 signatures.
“We appreciate that the court upheld the integrity of Maine’s well-established ballot access requirements,” Maine Secretary of State Shenna Bellows said in a statement. “Every candidate, including presidential candidates, must follow the law to qualify for the ballot. We are glad that the court recognized that Maine law is workable and fair to all.”

Christie is a flame thrower and that’s it. He is in the spot light to bash Trump
LOL!
Nobody wants ya, Jabba!
A Christmas present opened 3 days early.
Christie was denied because he ignore an actual law, not some made up infraction.
Christie was never in this to obtain the Presidency....as usual he just wants to be seen and heard...and fire at Trump.
Actually I do not agree with most “ballot access” rules the states make. They are incumbent protection rackets. Just let the voters decide if the person is worthy or not.
Agreed, what is the state doing making rules about a private nonstate party?
Yep
Rumors confirmed, the two clowns that were going to vote for him aren’t smiling.
Got a call from the fat boys campaign yesterday , I laughed until they hung up.
Actually, Trump may need Christie to foil Haley in RINO-infested NH.
Someone can’t do math. 844 signatures is a long way from 2000. Why does this happen so often?
Mr. Krispy Kreme got nailed with Karma. Alright!
He’d still qualify if only they’d use a weighted average.
Obviously you have not mastered “New Math”.
Yep, Christie is just trying land a CNN, FOX, or MSNBC job or at least become a paid contributor. He has a new book out as well.
RE: Just let the voters decide if the person is worthy or not.
B-b-but that would be like we were a constitutional republic with equal voting rights for all legal citizens.
Can’t have that.

5 GOP candidates blocked from Michigan governor’s primary over alleged false signatures.
James Craig, who is leading polls in the Republican race to challenge Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, is among those who have been disqualified. He plans to file an immediate appeal.
/////////////////
All 5 lost appeals. It is believed Dem operatives set up phony signatures to have them disqualified to get the ball rolling and kick the GOP top contenders out of the race. It worked. Unknown and with no politicians or fundraisers backing her, and owed no favors by insiders, Tudor Dixon was defeated by the evil Gretchen Whitmer.
Some reluctant GOP donors said publicly later: Had we known she was so good so articulate in the debates I would have given her campaign funding when it could have helped at the start. Too late.
They should let him on and let voters decide.
And don’t forget, the campaign pays for all the FOOD!
