At least 16 other states currently have pending legal challenges to Mr. Trump’s eligibility for office under the 14th Amendment, according to a database maintained by Lawfare, a nonpartisan site dedicated to national security issues. The lawsuits argue that he is barred because he engaged in an insurrection with his actions surrounding the Capitol riot on Jan. 6, 2021.
Four of these lawsuits — in Michigan, Oregon, New Jersey and Wisconsin — have been filed in state courts. Eleven lawsuits — in Alaska, Arizona, Nevada, New York, New Mexico, South Carolina, Texas, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia and Wyoming — have been filed in federal district courts.
Cases in two of these states, Arizona and Michigan, were initially dismissed by a lower court but have been appealed. Another challenge has also been made in Maine.

I think the Democrats want a civil war.
By their account almost half the population are Nazis and therefore OK to kill. Presumably they are confident they will win. Maybe they really will nuke the cornfields as they have threatened.
“Trump’s ballot eligibility”
The lefts latest wet dream......nothing more
The facists know these so-called constitutional challenges won’t fly.
All these appears to me yet another “let’s tie him up in court so he can’t campaign” ploy and also drive the court of public opinion.
Indeed. In 1860, Southern States took Lincoln off their ballots, but the North elected him.
That didn't work out well over the next few years.
They want to waste Trump’s time and resources in endless legal battles. Republicans would never do that to democrats (because they want Dems to win)
SCOTUS needs to put a stop to this now, but they may punt again, just as they did in December 2020 when their intervention was vital to the future of America.
Wait til these start being withdrawn and you’ll know the left has figured out that persecuting Trump blows back on them at some multiple.
DeSantis say it sucks but just vote for him and you won’t have to worry about it. https://twitter.com/_johnnymaga/status/1737492717104398430
Thanks for the reminder that 10 Dim states had no printing shop printing ballots with Lincoln on them. (Back then the state didn't print and distribute ballots. It was expected that the parties or newspaper would print ballots. And, thus, write-ins were more frequent because people would write their own ballot.)
So the Dims have historical precedent of trying to keep someone out of office by keeping him off the ballot. But, as you said, it didn't work out for them in 1860. They were so mad about it, after trying so hard to keep Lincoln out of office, that they went to war over it.
As someone pointed out, Trump’s name might be on a ballot, but voters are actually voting for Electors pledge to vote for Trump. As for keeping his name off of the primary ballot, the 14th doesn’t prohibit anyone running for office, but rather holding or taking office.
So keeping his name off of the ballot really doesn’t make Constitutional sense. Ah, but if Trump wins the election of 2024, look for the red states to claim that he can’t take office, Electoral votes for him should be voided and the democrat on the ballot must be sworn in—to, you know, ‘protect our democracy’.

Todays average american is of a different stock than those that fought the American Civil War.
Elections in the Soviet Union were held every 4 yrs for the citizens to vote for a single candidate.
Those candidates were approved by the Communist Party and were the only option on the ballot.
This is the goal of the Democrats.
All the left knows how to do is double down.
I was wondering what they were gonna do after the House voted to do an impeachment investigation on biden.
Everytime something negative happens to President taterhead they attack Trump......and sure enough.
The bright side is, the more they pull this crap, the more people realize something really shady is going on.

Lawfare is the use of legal systems and institutions to damage or delegitimize an opponent, or to deter an individual’s usage of their legal rights. 1. It was not an insurrection. It was a false flag op conducted by our own govt agencies.
2. He did not engage in it. He told people to be calm and respectful, and afterwards, go home. He repeatedly asked capitol leaders who were in charge of security if they wanted additional help, and was refused every single time.
3. The capitol leadership ran this false flag. Its why they didn’t want outside help either not under their normal control, or who were willingly working with them on the false flag.
Jenna Ellis——What is absolutely wild about the Colorado Supreme Court opinion is that it contains “no limiting principle.”
Republicans should immediately file suit in Colorado
<><>to remove Joe Biden from the ballot,
<><>citing his failure to secure the border
<><>and for allowing an invasion.
“Allowing an invasion” falls within the Court’s removal of Trump based on a broad definition of “engaging in insurrection.”
Challenge this nonsense.
Not a smart move. If Trump is sworn in as Prez, there will be reduced federal funding for these states. Vendetta 👍
The other thing the left can be counted on for is overreach. As Jenna Ellis points out, the same can be done to any candidate a state can gin up some link to insurrection about.
It’s shaping up to be a pretty mild Christmas weather-wise, but I predict we’ll soon be hearing about being “over our skis”...
