Colorado puts Trump 24x7 in the news again, DeSantis and others cannot get more than a footnote in the news, which may leave Trump as the Republican candidate. In my opinion, this is the steered intentional outcome of Democrats so that Biden or Newsom, even Harris gets to run against Trump.

Add to this, Trump rallies his core base, but alienates others. He insults Republican governors, demands fealty, and plays the narcissist drama queen martyr. And supporters? Consider here on FR as an example, several Freepers miss no opportunity to repeatedly trash DeSantis, prop up illegible Ramaswamy or Haley who stand absolutely zero chance against Trump, and insult anyone and everyone in the process. Trump keeps his core support but no one else.

And now this unsurprising poll. If 25% skip Trump, don't vote, maybe a few independents even vote for a Democrat, the setup is a clear Trump defeat. No way Trump and supporters can undo the damage of insults and name calling of Republicans.

End result, Democrats, with Trump and Trump supporter's help, is setting up a landslide Trump loss.

Almost a quarter of former President Donald Trump's supporters said he should not become the Republican presidential nominee in 2024 if he is convicted of a crime, according to a New York Times/Siena College poll.

Sounds like a quarter of them were seminar "Trump supporters."

Convicted of what? The use of Section III of the 14th Amendment isn’t going to work. It applies to insurrection, and no one, including Trump and all of the J6 defendants, has been charged with insurrection.

Almost one-quarter of Trump voters say he shouldn't be GOP nominee if convicted: Poll

Well too bad for them. He's the nominee.

“”””Almost a quarter of former President Donald Trump’s supporters said he should not become the Republican presidential nominee in 2024 if he is convicted of a crime”””

It would be more correct to say the following:

Almost a quarter of those who voted for George W Bush, John McCain, and Mitt Romney said that Trump should not become the Republican presidential nominee in 2024 if he is convicted of a crime.

i do think it’s best to see if anything of moment is presented before drawing final conclusions-— although it feels like a put-up job all the way around.

Insulting Republicans? I wasn’t aware that Republican politicians were doing a good job.

Without MAGA, the party is dead. The party has been dead for decades. Your view is much like the dead republican party.

It isn’t about Trump Reno, it’s about the republican party. Feel free to fight for the presidential win as if that matters. Congress should be the number one concern.

Essentially, if the DNC does not like a candidate they can exercise judicial malfeasance and the left leaning GOP will roll over and let the Democrats choose their candidate.

These are the same jokers who Loooooved John “Maverick” McCain and Mitt “Pierre Delecto” Romney.

Since Trump will win the primaries, the RINO fallback plan is to convince the delegates to switch their votes following a conviction. This is what articles such as this are setting the stage for.

Here’s the question, How does Trump and supporters win back Republicans that have been vilified, how does Trump and supporters win back Independents? Do you really think people with simply hold their nose and vote for Trump? Will a few insincerely kind words just before the election win them back? Trump is Trump and I think we can all agree that he is what he is and that won’t change.

You don’t have a clue.
Everyone knows Trump voters are sticky and ain’t goin’ anywhere. There are very few truly undecided voters and a small percentage who flip-flop between Trump alternatives.

All the persecutions have done is to push more of them over to supporting Trump out of a sense of fairness, outrage, or good old fashioned American tradition that the voters, not some judges, decide who is on the ballot and who gets their vote. The Colorado and other attempts will follow the same pattern, an increase in Trump’s poll numbers and decline in the others.

DeSantis has already blown his chances, Haley’s supposed “climb” will turn into a drop next week, if anyone even remembers. In the meantime, all the air in the room will be consumed by Donald J. Trump.

what a crap headline...the real headline is in the body of the article.

An overwhelming majority of Trump supporters surveyed, 70%, said he should be the GOP nominee if he "won the most votes in the primary, even if he is convicted of a crime."
