Direct democracy. This was done by initiative petition, and a vote of (not enough of ) the people. Same with the fascist Measure 114, for unbelievable gun restrictions.

Direct initiatives/propostitions to be passed by the voters should require a 2/3 majority to pass, to insure the vote represents a greater consensus of the people, not a mere 51 out of 100.

It is emblematic of the stupidity of legislators
and journolists -- and Greenberg is every bit as much a dumbass as the most communist member of the Oregone Steakhouse -- that the only takeaway here, is that the actual wannabe marxist author of Measure 113, almost assuredly some prole in a Salem cubbyhole (how
apropos),
completely f'd up the operational language, which permits any GOP
refusenik (and God bless them all) to run for re-election once,
before Measure 113 kicks in.

This insipidly laughable 'gift', gives the two lawsuits challenging Measure 113 ample time to get either before SCOTUS.
I would postulate that their mistake also gives conservative media a golden opportunity to exploit the Oregone marxist attack on fundamental free speech in legislating, but judging by this article, such postulation is pointless - literally and figuratively.
RIP El Rushbo, your absence has permitted both neomarxism to flourish, and conservative media without a leader. I knew it would happen but could not imagine the breadth and the depth of the loss...
