'I'm Sorry': Harvard President Issues Apology Amid Outrage Over Congressional Testimony

Harvard President Claudine Gay has apologized over her controversial remarks during a House Education committee hearing this week.

Gay testified alongside Elizabeth Magill, the president of the University of Pennsylvania, and Sally Kornbluth, head of MIT, during a hearing about the rise of antisemitism on college campuses.

All three women have faced intense criticism for failing to definitively state that calling for genocide against Jews would be considered a violation of harassment and bullying policies.

When Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) posed the question to Gay, she said it depended on the context.

“It does not depend on the context,” Stefanik, a Harvard alum, fired back. “The answer is yes and this is why you should resign.”

“Substantively, I failed to convey what is my truth,” Gay added.

Higher-ed verbiage claptrap.

There is no such thing as “My truth” or “your truth”

There is only truth.

Only overpaid intellectuals on our dime can simply offer an apology for being seen. Their day will come, and it will be at the hand of the sociopaths churned out by institutions of leftist lure.

""Substantively, I failed to convey what is my truth,” Gay added."

That's not an apology.

It seems that, these people apologize for something, and state that they were misinterpreted, or didn’t explain fully enough what they meant, or in some way, that they didn’t really say what they said.

Why don’t they do a “mulligan”, and have these college presidents return to Congress, and this time, go on the record with what they really mean, if the issue is that they didn’t fully convey their truth and all that?

An apology is fine but the only thing that will make it believable is her resignation.

Oooh, I love to dance a little sidestep,
Now they see me, now they don’t, I’ve come and gone.
And, oooh, I love to sweep around the wide step,
Cut a little swath and lead the people on.

The Presidents pointed out something by accident. That kind of Hate Speech is acceptable at those universities. That’s why they couldn’t condemn it.

Fake. Also too little too late. She needs to be FIRED. And all federal funding to these “elite” schools needs to be pulled.

Um, not sure you have full information:

Federal funding, which accounted for approximately 67% of total sponsored revenue in fiscal year 2021, increased 1% to $625 million. Non-federal sponsored revenue, attributable to funding from corporations, foundations, and other non-federal sponsors, remained relatively flat at $302 million.

Link.

Hope the link works. It's a little wonky...

Leftists don’t fire anyone. They reassign them to another capacity to F#$#k the country. Has history taught you nothing? Be bold in being evil and stupid. You may one day be in front of congress. Stupid is the cloak that covers them all.
