A University of Pennsylvania donor is withdrawing a gift worth around $100 million to protest the school's response to antisemitism on campus.
The big picture: The final straw for Ross Stevens, founder and CEO of Stone Ridge Asset Management, was Tuesday's widely criticized congressional testimony by Penn president Liz Magill.
Details: The gift from Stevens, a Penn undergrad alum, was given in December 2017 to help establish a center for innovation in finance.

Lesson 1: Don't piss off your financiers.
And I think the federal government needs to revoke their tax exempt status and cancel research grants.
I think China gave Penn $500 million.
Awwwwwwww!
“And I think the federal government needs to revoke their tax exempt status and cancel research grants.”
100% agree! Why are the tax dollars from plumbers, electricians, retail clerks, and waitresses going to fund these cesspools of indoctrination?
That explains why the UPenn President made that video she released.
That’d be Liz Magill of UPenn. I don’t trust her. Her name is Magill and she calls herself Lil, but everyone knows her as Nancy.
“Stop putting feely touchy Liberal women as heads of Universities! Students don’t need ‘Mothers” - they need to grow up!”
You are right that college presidents, deans, and faculty need to stop protecting the students from being offended or suffering from “microaggressions”. It is not doing them any favors.
Students now would be shocked at the responsibilities we now 60-something year-olds had by the time we were 16 (much less at age 10!). They would be shocked that we moved out on our own at least at the time we turned 18. I know with myself and my friends, our parents were a little sad to see us go, but never questioned that we would be moving out.
My mother, grandmother, and aunts would start giving my sisters and I dishes and other household items around the time we turned 15. “This if for when you move out”, they would say. It was a given that we would be doing so.

If you read the letter his lawyers actually sent, they assert Stevens’ right to “to retire” the “units” of the gift, but he does not actually do so. On the other hand, they offer to reopen discussions once the president of the university is replaced. So the intent seems clear, but it is premature to say it’s been done.
Yes I'm aware of who the picture is of. I was too lazy to find a picture of Ford that could be linked. I was leaving it to Freepers recollections. Having said that I got a burst of energy. Here is Blasey Ford. Look familiar?
Our Leftist government wants the school to be anti Semitic. Don’t think otherwise.
I couldn’t resist a Rocky Raccoon joke. Sorry.
Without Jewish alumni, the Ivy League would go bankrupt.
Without Jewish alumni, the Ivy League would go bankrupt. Not too smart to bite the hand that feeds.
That’s a good start.
