Russia’s 2024 presidential election will take place on March 17 with Vladimir Putin widely expected to run and win another term in office.

Although Putin, 71, hasn’t yet announced his intention to run again he is widely expected to do so in the coming days now that the date has been set. He will likely run as an independent.

The former intelligence officer remains hugely popular in Russia. His support spiked with the onset of the war against Ukraine, and he currently has an approval rating of 82%, according to Statista, a global data platform. A failed rebellion last summer by mercenary chief Yevgeny Prigozhin also did not damage his approval ratings.

Just like Saddam Hussein in Iraq.

Putin and Russia should be a natural ally in Christendom, but unfortunately America and the West are not ruled by Christians any longer. Instead of allying with Russia for the common good, the globohomos have turned Russia to ally with China. Nice job, neoCON scum!

Russian people must like having a “leader” who keeps sending thousands of young men to die in vain for his obsession

#DysfunctionalCountry

When is the 2024 presidential election in that bastion of freedom, Zelensky’s Ukraine, scheduled?

“They must really like Putin.”

He puts his country, and his people, first. That simple and no different than Trump.

But yes, strange concept for the West, but it does explain his popularity, particularly compared to Europe, for example, where the elites simply HATE native Europeans.

Just don’t say anything against the war, or you will go to prison. It’s also healthy not to run against Putin.

The story was about Russia. How did Ukraine get into it? They’re both murderous dictators.

Anything that involves Russian politics automatically involves the Ukes and neocon/globohomo alliance in DC. Our entire foreign policy revolves around our dismally failed attempt to overthrow the Russian government. Both murderous dictators with one major difference, Zelensky is OUR bought and paid for murderous dictator

“Just don’t say anything against the war, or you will go to prison. It’s also healthy not to run against Putin.”

Regardless, when one looks at the objectives of the war, which is to keep NATO out of Ukraine and to protect the huge number of Russian speakers in that country, his popularity makes a lot of sense to me. In the US it’s next to impossible to imagine analogies to either situation...but in Europe ethnic massacres and ethnic cleansing are more the rule than the except, and someone willing to stand up to both will be very, very, popular.
