I wonder if you can get a PhD in DEI?
The false fronts and facades have been peeled away: the left is a movement of bigotry, racism and hate. Some of us saw it coming from afar.
By their testimony the presidents of Harvard, MIT and the University of Pennsylvania appear to be D.I.E. Nazis.
I watched it. All three Presidents were lying through their teeth. They all said that anti-Semitism had no place on their campus, but then example after example proved that it did. It was definitely a case of: Who are you going to believe — me or your own common sense?
The fact that the MIT President was (supposedly) Jewish was a headscratcher. My guess is that she is a JINO who views her job as the most important thing in her life.
While they are buring bridges with a lot of alumni and donors, it probably does not matter. Many Leftists and Arabs will step in to fill the donor void. Plus the Federal subsidies will keep flowing — maybe even more so now.
The government should tax the hell out of these places. I really think college is a bad idea at this point. Engineering and medicine only. Everything else is self-study or On The Job Training. Tax them out of existence.
It’s been nearly a century since the Ivy League offered anything unique except a pretty receipt.
Outside the academic bubble, these female college presidents, who make huge bucks, came across as stupid. Much like KJP, once knocked off their script, the floundered in deep water. In order to survive, they have to fire terrorist faculty and expel terrorist students. Failing that, they must be fired, not because they are morally bankrupt, but because they are immoral.
Just look at their faces and you can tell. How did we let it happen at the highest levels of academia?
If you’re an alumni of a major university peddling this crap, cut them off from all financial support, contributions, football tickets, school regalia, bequeaths and tell them why.
Loads wrong with higher ed, which is corrupted to the core—intellectually and otherwise.
But having hard-working and underpaid adjuncts teaching more than perfumed-prince, tenured, meat bags rolling into class is not the reason for it.
The difference between Harvard and Penn compared to tech powerhouse MIT is that, at MIT, the few liberal arts majors there are treated as special ed.
I watched about an hour of that testimony and was surprised that all of them appeared to be out of their element as university presidents. When you think of people in such positions you picture well experienced, wise, articulate persons, possessing and exhibiting good judgement and prudence.
These persons appeared to be shallow ideologues, poorly prepared and out of their league as distinguished university presidents. Have we reached the bottom of the pit in both government and education????
How are selection of university presidents made?? Trustees? Peers? Who?? In these cases they did a lousy job!!!
The Poison Ivy League is not what it use to be.
