Leaked audio recordings of a meeting between freed Israeli hostages and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have revealed considerable anger at the government’s conduct, as well as the enduring terror of captivity by Hamas in Gaza.
Audio of the meeting between the former hostages, relatives of some still being held, and Israel’s war cabinet on Tuesday was leaked, with parts of it published on Israeli news site ynet.
It comes amid building pressure on Netanyahu to secure the release of the remaining captives, and scrutiny of Israel’s intensifying military campaign in Gaza.
Ynet also reported that Netanyahu’s efforts to respond to the hostages and relatives were met with tense and angry remarks.
A female abductee freed with her children – but without her husband, who remains in captivity – is heard on one recording saying: “The feeling we had there was that no one was doing anything for us. The fact is that I was in a hiding place that was shelled and we had to be smuggled out and we were wounded. That’s besides the helicopter that shot at us on the way to Gaza.”

That's normal for hostages.
Fair or not, Bibi will get all the blame. He will be no longer the PM in 6 months from now, after the war ends in Gaza.
True. And it also could be propaganda — something leftists like Hamas are always keen to do.
Some victims have unrealistic expectations of what government can do. Actually I think Bibi has done pretty good given the hostage dilemma.
Could have been worse.
They could have been raped and then beheaded.
Did they even once blame their sub-human captors?
They kidnap people in the first place because it results in advantage to the kidnappers. Don’t reward the bad guys , kill them.
Or our own CIA.
Netanyahu’s concern for the hostages seemed to be low priority. He has very little support of the population now at only 4%.
As War Rages, Israelis’ Trust in Netanyahu Plummets, Polls Find
A poll conducted by researchers at Bar Ilan University asked Israelis about trust in information and decision-making regarding the war in Gaza. Results show that under 4 percent trust Netanyahu; IDF Spokesman Hagari emerges as ‘most reliable’ figure

Hmmmm...let me think about it. I do see a lot of similarities between the political left and Hamas.
1) Hate Jews.
2) Hate Christians.
3) Believe in more central authority and less individual freedom.
4) Suppress the free speech of critics.
5) Encourage the use of violence against non-believers.
6) Encourage the disassociation of family members who disagree.
7) Support pedo as long as the right people are doing it.
8) Hate science unless it's pseudo-science.
9) Believe in subjugating not just their local area but the entire world for their beliefs.
10) Do everything in their power to shape government power to force their cult beliefs onto everyone else.
I dunno. Hamas seems pretty leftist to me.
They should be directing their anger at Hamas telling them to release all hostages, if any still alive, and then they would push for a cease fire.
Strongly suspect if any of the remaining hostages are released or rescued, there will be many examples of the Stockholm Syndrome. Sadly some people after prolonged captivity, subservience and dependence begin to identify with their captors. Netanyahu however will be held accountable for the intelligence and security failures. Long term, rational people in Israel now realize that there cannot be a two state solution. There can be an Israel or a Palestine. There cannot be both.
Of course, but no one is asking why are there hostages in the first place.
Probably leftists who hated Bibi from the get-go.
When you let your emotions dictate your actions, you lose.
There is time for emotions, and there is a time for clear headed thinking about the action you will be taking.
Israel will lose if they don’t stand firm.
Classic liberal media propaganda tactic. Find a sob story to turn public opinion against the common sense solution to the problem, (e.g. fight and eliminate the Hamas pigs who kidnap and murder innocent people). As with every difficult situation, there is human suffering.
The Karens in the US are completely taken in by the emotional appeal of the sob story, totally disregard the larger purpose of the solution, and demand that we capitulate to the evildoers. This is an effective tactic only because of an educational system that has abandoned its core mission to teach people how to think, rather than react based on their emotions.
Yes, hostages suffer. The obvious culprits, the terrorists cannot be allowed to prevail in this battle for public opinion.
The real failure of government came BEFORE the 10/7 attack.
Why were the settlers in southern Israel unarmed?
Thats the question to ask!
