The predictive power of horse-race polling a year from the presidential election is weak at best. The Biden campaign can take some comfort in that.
But what recent surveys do reveal is that the coalition that put Biden in the White House in the first place is nowhere near as strong as it was four years ago...
These danger signs include fraying support among core constituencies, including young voters, Black voters and Hispanic voters, and the decline, if not the erasure, of traditional Democratic advantages in representing the interests of the middle class and speaking for the average voter.
Any of these on their own might not be cause for alarm, but taken together they present a dangerous situation for Biden...
Particularly worrisome for Democrats, who plan to demonize Trump as a threat to democracy, are the advantages Trump and Republicans have on opposing extremism (3 points), getting beyond the chaos (6 points) and protecting the Constitution (8 points)...
There is some evidence in both the Democracy Corp survey and in other polls that concerns specific to Biden — including his age and the surge in prices during his presidency — are driving the perception of Democratic weakness rather than discontent with the party itself...
The one ace in the hole for Democrats is Donald Trump himself. As the center of attention in the elections of 2018, 2020 and even 2022, Trump was the key to Democratic victory. Trump is doing all he can to become the focus in 2024, but the question remains whether the Democrats, with Biden at the top of the ticket, can successfully demonize him again.

The bottem line: Biden is finished, everyone who knows the shot knows it, and the press is breaking the news to the few Democrats who think "Biden" is a thing.
I still think Joe will be expected to limp all the way to the Convention. Then it’s time for his health problems to “suddenly become apparent”. And the Convention will choose someone by acclamation at the last minute. No time for campaign stumbles by the new person. No time for opposition research. No time for media scrutiny. Some say it will be Newsom. I say it will be Michelle (who won’t work a single day but will blatantly vacation for 4 years while First Husband Barack enjoys his fourth term in office.

He lost the popular vote by over 2 points in 2016 and “lost” it by over 4 in 2020

Exactly. The Left is always about agenda, and they'll be there for Joe. The good news for us is Joe has sucked as President, the Left doesn't have Covid to gin up fear voting, and they don't have Twitter to help set the agenda. If Trump stays on message (which means staying away from 2020), we win.

Julián Castro is an American lawyer and politician from San Antonio, Texas. He is not completely unknown, having served in the Obama Cabinet, 2014 to 2017, as Secretary of HUD. It would take little effort to polish him up and give him wide exposure, and might just shore up the Hispanic vote.
Obama still gets his fourth term.

Yes. Don’t believe the polls. They only show the margin of cheating. Trump would have to be up 10% to be out of danger of cheating. Any poll closer would allow the Dems to stuff the ballot box and make the results appear reasonable.
I think it won’t matter who they run. They’ve pretty much already perfected the art of the steal. And, with a complicit DOJ and Judiciary, they can hardly lose...
