An Alabama police officer has been placed on leave after a video showed her arresting a handcuffed man and hitting him with a stun gun.
The unidentified cop, from the Reform Police Department in Pickens County, was seen on camera swearing at a black man while he was handcuffed on Saturday.
District Attorney Andy Hamlin said the man, wearing a white t-shirt, gray sweats and a baseball hat, was being arrested on a trafficking fentanyl charge.
The female police officer shouts at the cuffed man to get down and lie on the front of the vehicle, with his face down.
As she begins to go through the man's pockets, she holds a stun gun to his back.
With his body lying against the front of the car, the police officer tells him to 'stay still.'
The man then responds: 'I ain't doing s**t, bro. I got a gun right there.'
The laughing officer grabs the gun that is in the handcuffed man's pocket, before saying 'oh yeah,' and deploying the stun gun into his back.
She screams: 'Shut the f**k up.' The man can be heard whimpering and crying as he repeatedly says in pain: 'Oh my God.'
The cop continues, saying: 'Do you want it again?' He cries, as she says: 'Shut your b***h a** up.'
Reform police Chief Richard Black and Mayor Melody Davis said they were aware of the video, which has circulated on social media.
They called it a 'citizen's arrest' and confirmed it took place on Saturday.

Why did they refer to this as a “citizen’s arrest”? Something doesn’t make sense here…
My most memorable traffic stop was when a middle-aged Ontario Provincial Police Sergeant pulled me over because I was riding my Yamaha 125cc scooter on the freeway in a manner that was legal, safe and didn’t even slow anyone down.
She waved to to the next exit and followed me to where we could both stop safely, and her first words to me were:
“Is what you did t legal? I’m not sure!”
“trafficking fentanyl”
Should have been shot on sight.
She looks like Schneider, the apartment building handyman.
I don’t know what to make of this sh*t show. I certainly don’t trust the media.
She is going to jail. Can’t taze a handcuffed suspect that is posing no threat to the officer. Google Graham Factors.
I could be wrong, but I’m calling BS on this one.
Who took this video?
I don’t think she’d have fared as well in the inner city.
Never talk to the police Mkay?
Not enough unbiased information about the incident to make a judgement.
I hate it when dogooders like Dann Florek’s character interfere with my enjoyment....

There’s the “SHOCKING!” I’ve been waiting for. Thanks mail.
Based on our crime rate here in Toronto I say it’s a damn good argument now. One cop told me straight up that it wasn’t his job as a Peace Officer to arrest people and he was right. Arresting alone, never mind use force, meant that the cop saw no other means at his disposal to Keep the Peace.
But then, here in Toronto (a city equal to Chicago by population), we all get riled up when our YEARLY homicide count is 50 or higher. What’s Chicago’s excuse?
Unarmed is NOT undangerous! Just sayin’. 😁👍
That's how it looks to me too. Photo is unusually clear and level.
Sorry to be uncharacteristically ignorant but what does that mean, please?
What was the outcome of that traffic stop?
I was thinking that maybe she was off-duty, hence a “citizen’s arrest.” Yet she’s wearing a uniform.
its almost as fake as porn-acting.
I got pulled over by the female man hater deputy in our county. She followed me for two miles in which I remained exactly at the speed limit. Then she wouldn’t tell me why she pulled me over.
When she finally did she told me she couldn’t tell if my license plate tabs were this year or next last year. “Oh, were last year’s green too?”
I got a “hummmmph” for that one as she stomped away.
She carried a nice chrome Colt Python though.
