Teachers Union Official Compiled List Of Nearby Wealthy Jews, Calling Them ‘Gluttons And Thieves’ [Maryland]

Montgomery County, Maryland teacher and union official Angela Wolf / LinkedIn / Montgomery County Education Association

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A Maryland teacher is on leave while the school system investigates her for a string of anti-Semitic social media posts that included creating a list of wealthy Jews in her county, claiming they horde wealth while contributing nothing to society, and calling for “class war.”
Angela Wolf is head of the English Language Development department, which caters to immigrant children, at Takoma Park Middle School, in the most leftist enclave of liberal Montgomery County. Though she was temporarily removed from school, she remains a board member of the Montgomery County Education Association, one of the largest teachers union locals in the country representing 14,000 staff.
Her Facebook posts included a drawing of an Israeli tank pointing a tank’s gun at babies in a hospital NICU, and saying “enemy in sight!” As the war wages against the Hamas terrorists who murdered over 1,200 Israelis on October 7, she has posted frequently against Israel. On November 16, she commended “bus operators at Dulles who refused to transport Zionists to the pro Israel rally,” adding that “their solidarity with the victims of Israeli genocide should be commended.”
On October 28, she shared a post saying, “It is not a war — it is a slaughter. Israel determined to make Gaza uninhabitable.”
Last December, well before the conflict in Israel, she wrote:
Four of the five of the billionaires she named are Jewish except Saul, who happens to have a common Jewish name.
In response to criticism, she claimed — referring the the group of people with names like Rubenstein — that she had “no idea these billionaires are Jewish or that my word choice had an [sic] historic significance for the Jewish community. The diatribe against these two words has turned the discussion into a fallacious attack … People are angry at teachers or a particular politician or the poor. I have read no attacks on the 1% … who have NOT ‘earned’ ‘their wealth.’”
She said “they use their accumulated wealth to further their own interests” and blamed their hoarding for students falling behind while teachers unions refused to work because of COVID. “There should be little question that staying home should NOT equal mental health crises for kids and communities angry because school staff also need to be home,” she wrote.
When someone else criticized her for her anti-Semitic posts, she responded by calling former President Donald Trump a “scumbag” and said, “Fear is leading to censorship. I hope this person gets anti-imperialism and joins us in the struggle … No war but class war!”
On November 30, Takoma Park Middle School Principal Erin Martin wrote a letter to parents “to address a series of antisemitic online posts that appear to have been made by a staff member at our school.”
“I was extremely saddened and disappointed by the contents of these posts and strongly condemn the views expressed as they do not align with our school’s values of inclusivity, respect and acceptance,” Martin wrote.
We “have begun an investigation into the matter” but “any actions resulting from an investigation will be considered a personnel matter. Due to employee privacy laws, MCPS and Takoma Park Middle School are unable to provide further details on the personnel matter,” she wrote.
Teachers unions — like the one of which Wolf is a board member —a re largely responsible for such policies making it hard for to discipline a teacher or for the public to have transparency. Unions advocate vociferously for teachers accused of such wrongdoing to be reinstated.
Neither the union nor Wolf responded to a request for comment.
Her union is a far-Left organizing group with a heavy focus on race and diversity, equity and inclusion. There are indications that anti-Jewish sentiment is baked into DEI, including in Montgomery County Public Schools. DEI often casts whites as “settlers” and “colonizers” of America, and paints Jews in a similar light.
At nearby Tilden Middle School, Sabrina Khan-Williams, the “team leader/diversity, equity and inclusion teacher,” promoted outlandish conspiracy theories, such as the idea that Jewish people kill Palestinians to sell their organs, and that the well-documented attack in which Hamas paraglided into a rave was actually a hoax that never happened.
On November 9, another Montgomery County school, Clarksburg High School, approved an anti-Israel demonstration on the anniversary of Kristallnacht, and emailed parents to let them know of the opportunity to join the protest. It was “approved by school leadership” and “Absences due to the participation in the walk-out will be excused,” Principal Edward Owusu wrote.
she remains a board member of the Montgomery County Education Association,
It is long past time to abolish government schools. I will tolerate no whining about "who will educate the poor and downtrodden?"
1) You would be surprised how many students in private schools are on "scholarship", which means reduced (to zero in some cases) tuition for the "needy".
2) No education at all would be better than 16 years of indoctrination in "Hate America" and Marxism.
The sad irony is that too many Jewish voters support both the far left and Muslim immigration.
Teachers Unions are in complete control..................
I have long been disgusted with the United Federation of Teachers, my former union. Not only did they routinely hang teachers out to dry when threatened with vindictive administrators, they are now trying to deprive their retirees of their promised Medi-gap health insurance and force them to take a vastly inferior Medicare Advantage plan that many doctors won't take. They are not alone in this outrage; the heads of many of NYC's municpal unions are also in on this attempt to take away the promised healthcare. Thank G-d, they've been losing in court every time. Oh, and I always LOVED the large portrait of Odungo proudly displayed in the union office whenever I had occasion to visit.
Takoma Park - Home of the first nuclear-free zone and one of the first sanctuary cities.
That’s pretty much all you need to know.
I was an involuntary member of a teachers union for decades. Permit me to make two points.
1. The above quote comes as no surprise. It describes many teacher unions, including mine.
2. Teacher union elections are unbelievably biased and unfair. That’s the way the original bylaws were written. And it’s just the way the union bosses want it.
My union was made up of all kinds of people, MAGA conservatives to Bernie Sanders progressives. It mirrored the community at large. But only far-left candidates got elected to union offices.
And for state and national offices there are no elections! Those folks are appointed at conventions.
It’s a sad irony. Unions preach democracy. But in practice they are extremely undemocratic.
Hence the predictable results: high school and college students adopting the side of murderous terrorists, attacking Jewish businessmen, Jewish teachers and professors, etc.
Yes, we know a tree by it's fruit..
This is shocking. There are so many Jews living around DC, which is where these communities are. Huge numbers in Takoma back in the day. The ignorance of all the issues by these leftie trope-parrots is astonishing.
Wolf heads the school’s English Language department focusing on teaching ‘immigrant’ children....she’s a globalist.
this is where i met the spawn scum in academia
english class
mr first time specifically in 9th grade.
the telephone game: used to destroy the concept of objective truth
the lifeboat game: used to install situational ethics.
both times i challenged it openly and qas sent to principles office for “ disrupting class”
with queations that all of a sudden were no longer of the ‘ all questions are good questions” catagory.
i was at that age a Christian kid who had been studying my bible for a couple years by that time and could discern evil intent in the curiculim
Since I’m in a typing mood, here’s how AFT teacher union elections work. (At least in the big city where I worked.)
Local elections are done by slate voting. The incumbents (all leftists) field a slate. Challengers do too. The incumbents have use of the union hall for rallies. They have use of the membership mailing list. And they have full-time staff people who visit schools to campaign.
The challengers can get use of the union hall and the membership mailing list. But only by jumping through all sorts of hoops. It’s very difficult. And the challengers can’t visit schools to campaign. They are busy teaching.
And now the best part. The local president can find reasons to void an election. In all my years in the union, the union bosses lost only once. That was amazing. But we didn’t get to celebrate for long.
“There was no quorum,” said the union president. We must re-vote, this time by mail-in ballot.” Guess who won the re-vote? It sure wasn’t the challengers.
A group of us went to see a labor lawyer about this. He was sympathetic. But he didn’t take our retainer money. Everything the union president did was within the union bylaws, he said.
On the state and national levels, there’s not even a membership vote. Hand-picked delegates go to conventions. State and national leaders are chosen at these conventions.
That's much worse than I thought. And it explains a lot... Again, thanks for sharing. (do you see any changes that could be made to state laws to blunt some of the worst stuff liberal education unions are doing?)
The People’s Republic of Takoma Park is somewhere left of Stalin so it’s no surprise.
