Former President Donald Trump professed to be honored to have the support of Black Lives Matter on Truth Social Wednesday after a co-founder of the organization’s Rhode Island chapter endorsed him on Fox & Friends on Tuesday.
In his post, Trump praised Mark Fisher as a “great guy” and suggested that he had done more for Black people “than any other President” with the possible exception of Abraham Lincoln.
“Spoke with Mark Fisher yesterday, a great guy, very honored to have his and BLM’s support,” declared Trump. “I have done more for Black people than any other President (Lincoln?), including 10 year funding for Historically Black Colleges and Universities, where they had none, Opportunity Zones, Criminal Justice Reform, and much more. Thank you to Mark!”
During his TV appearance, Fisher blasted the Democratic Party for its “duplicity” on racial issues and argued that Trump’s critics had not “educated” themselves.
“Personally, I love the man,” said Fisher.
Black Lives Matter has oftentimes been criticized by other Republicans, who have accused the group of inflaming racial tensions, lying about law enforcement, and inspiring a number of violent riots in the months that followed George Floyd’s murder during the last year of Trump’s presidency.
In June 2020, Trump himself attacked the group, calling a plan to paint a “Black Lives Matter” sign in New York City a “symbol of hate” that would “further antagonize” police.
In an interview with Fox News later that year, Trump called the group “discriminatory” and mused that “it’s bad for Black people, it’s bad for everybody.”
Mark Esper, who served as Secretary of Defense in Trump’s administration, alleged in his book that the former president suggested that authorities shoot protesters amassed outside of the White House during the summer of 2020.

Every election year black organizers threaten to leave the plantation, and DNC lines their pockets with walking-around money. It's just another remake of the same tired old movie, with the same ending.
I think (that is, I hope) Trump is aware of this but is playing along just to tweak the democrats' tails a bit. I doubt he expects to see a tsunami wave of black votes, but will take what he gets.
Come election, some blacks might vote Trump or stay home, but BLM "community organizers" will make out fine.

They know they have to get in Trump’s good graces in case he’s re-elected. They don’t want their asses handed to them again like the last time he was in office.
LOL. I’m kinda hoping to live long enough to see what his son (if there’s a bun in the oven) with his lawyer Alina Hubba Hubba looks like, fully-grown. So far, the only one who seriously resembles him at the same age is Melania’s.
I voted for Trump, campaigned for him and and donated $ and yet I have to say that Trump has a big weaknesses, if you say you like him everything is good.
For example 1) If you endorse him, he appoints you to office regardless of competancy (Jeff Sessions for Attorney General) or endorses you for office(Rona McDaniel chair RNC) , 2) if you don’t endorse him he will hold it against you and go on a vendetta and start calling you names (even a couple of days after you die General Colin Powell ) and turn off independent voters, especially women.
I guess we all have our weaknesses and it is easier to see and fix someone else’s than our own

I don’t think he is honored by the endorsement as much as he is honored by the black community FINALLY leaving the democrat plantation, FINALLY see the TRUTH!! Trump is FOR THE PEOPLE Trump REALLY WANTS everyone in America to realize the American dream this IS REALLY in his heart!! Trump is also VERY LOYAL to people who are loyal to him and his businesses, I TOTALLY UNDERSTAND this, Trump has realized that politics is a BEAST nothing like the business world in the business world you treat the people around you well and they are very loyal to you, in politics you trust and treat the people around you well AND they stab you in the back repeatedly!! Underneath all the brashness of Trump he has a HUGE heart for blue collar people, he is absolutely aware that they are the people who made him successful, from the builders to the service people!!Trump will NEVER fit in to the elite cabal he just NEVER will be that person!! The people of this nation realize that through all the brashness of Trump he says EXACTLY what is on his mind we ALL KNOW where he stands NO BS involved!! This is what we love about him and can overlook his many faults BECAUSE we ALL HAVE FAULTS!!
