Well, tough $hit, America! You either voted for this nonsense, or you didn’t push back forcibly enough.

“End fossil fuels” + “Zero emissions” =
End of lubricants at affordable prices.
End of obtainable freight transportation by land, sea, air.
End of air travel.
End of satellite communications, rockets, missiles, space travel. (But no end to NASA and its future of “employing” the woke.)
Return to “the age of sail.” And, rope walks.
Return to small crop spaces “merely for survival.”

You run out of charge on a desert highway. No good samaritan can stop and give you an electric juicing. But if you had a fuel tank that is another matter to get you on your way

I have been very happy with my EV. The service and warranty have been great. After it burned down my house, they came out and gave us a new one with a roof top tent we could live in.
Awesome stuff right there.
Oh, and when we are done with it, we plan on using it as a toaster.

Electric vehicles have fewer moving parts and don’t have to deal with a hundred or more little explosions per second. The electric cars should be more reliable.

I think the problem with EVs is that they are good as commuter cars or local around-town chores and shopping cars.
Where they fail is as a family vacation car where you pack two adults and two children and all their luggage into the car, and expect it to travel 1,000 miles round trip without any issues.

My 25 year old SUV is about to pass 250,000 and aside from rattles and a leaky injector it is still running well. Will there be 25 year old EVs??? Ever???

If Tesla would replace the motor / battery setup for a decent V-6 and 20 gallon tank, they’d have a pretty good car.
