Russia's upper house of parliament will on Dec. 13 officially announce the date of the March presidential election, Communist Party leader Gennady Zyuganov said on Tuesday - a step that marks the start of overt campaigning.
According to Russian law, the upper house of parliament must announce the exact date at least 100 days before the vote. Election day is widely assumed to be March 17.

Rather telling that an official announcement comes from the General Secretary of the Communist Party of Ruzzia.
This is not an accident but a message that Putin is making Ruzzia Soviet again.

Why no Zelensky?
If they held elections with 20 percent of their country occupied by criminal Russian and Chechen invaders, you would say it was unfair because they didn’t count votes in the occupied areas.
First kill the Bolshevik and Mohammedan invaders. Then have elections.
Zelenski would lose any fairly administered election in Ukraine, which is precisely why he won’t hold one. Maybe he should study up on how the US rigs theirs.

Isn’t is hilarious how fast the Kremlin’s fellow travelers and useful fools have memory holed Prigozhin’s coup attempt and his murder? Proving once again there how intellectually and moral bankrupt they are.
Zelensky shouldn't be afraid to lose. If he loses the election, his successor will ask for peace with Russia.
But you already knew that (as the author of this article also likely did) but you should never let facts get in the way of a good (propaganda) line.
