A battery of recent New Hampshire polls has shown Nikki Haley and Chris Christie running second and third, respectively, in a state that could prove vital for what’s left of the GOP effort to stop Donald Trump.
This has led to some predictable chatter about Christie, the former New Jersey governor, dropping out in service of consolidating the anti-Trump vote, given he has long made clear that stopping Trump is high on his list of motivations. Christie, predictably, wants no part of such speculation.

Pretty good synopsis as to why the NH primary should be in June and not first. Why should the GOP candidate cater their message to a bunch of Democrats in NH who will never vote for them in the general election?
He’s is getting paid big money to slam Trump at every opportunity. He is not an actual candidate.
They are all working for the DNC.
“Why should the GOP candidate cater their message to a bunch of Democrats in NH who will never vote for them in the general election?”
Speaking as someone from neighboring Massachusetts, the purpose is to give the more moderate/liberal candidate momentum...intentionally.
Remember in 2012 when they faked the Iowa caucus outcome to give Romney momentum going into NH, and then after NH the momentum continued to roll. That’s how they operate. NH allows same day registration changes, so like you said, Democrats go in on primary day, switch to Republican and vote for the liberal Republican candidate.
But that didn’t happen in 2016. Trump won overwhelmingly and will again, DESPITE the machinations of governor Sununu and the Chris Christie McRomBush types.
Christi is in it for the nosh... and some paid for stumping, with a little leftover foldin’ money to boot!

Savvy Dems will cross over and make DT the nominee and Rs will loose again. I doubt DT thinks he can will but he won’t let any other R be the nominee.
I have same concerns for VIVEK.
BECAUSE he is NOT addressing this issue-—I think he also is NOT eligible.

She is a CITIZEN.
SHE IS NOT A NATURAL BORN CITIZEN
Fox News has endorsed Haley.
Trumps mother wasn’t born here.
She was naturalized by the time Donald was born.
FWIW, I don’t think the natural-born status as defined by the people obsessed with that carries any weight anymore.
Oh, I agree with you. I just love how they tie themselves up in pretzels when you point out “their” guy might have some exposure.
In my head, and apparently most of the people in the country, figure if you are born a US citizen you are good to go.
I’m gonna have to swipe that!
