How Christie could help Haley if he dropped out (he won't)
Washington Post ^ | 11/27/23 | Aaron Blake

A battery of recent New Hampshire polls has shown Nikki Haley and Chris Christie running second and third, respectively, in a state that could prove vital for what’s left of the GOP effort to stop Donald Trump.

This has led to some predictable chatter about Christie, the former New Jersey governor, dropping out in service of consolidating the anti-Trump vote, given he has long made clear that stopping Trump is high on his list of motivations. Christie, predictably, wants no part of such speculation.

Chris Christie is this cycle's John Kasich (just in a size 58 pant).

He's going to stay in until the convention, just because.

He needs to run to live off the campaign cash for now and hope for a book or tv deal later. He has no other career.

“ How Christie could help Haley if he dropped out.”

The media and GOPe are working overtime to anoint Haley. They might get her, unfortunately.

Christie is not in the race to win it. He is it it to hurl ‘brickbats’ at Trump.

Haley has no chance at the Republican nomination unless the RINOs enable the Supreme Court to declare her eligible for the Oval Office.

It probably would help her, but it wouldn’t help her enough to matter.

This is all about “How to Lose in 2028.”

The reason why these losers are working so hard to come in Second Place, is because they believe it’ll put them in the driver’s seat when Trump is either term limited out, or he will be 82 and probably not viable.

The last time a candidate came in second during the primaries, but became THE nominee 4 years later, is Hillary. Before Hillary, the last time someone Showed but became the nominee 4 years later was McCain.

Let that soak in….these losers are working furiously on a candidacy model that resulted in two failures.

” He is [in] it to hurl ‘brickbats’ at Trump.”

There is no doubt about this.

The DC insiders believe Haley has a chance for the nomination and need Krispy Kreme Christie out of the way now. If it is not obvious, they are still acting like they are deciding the nominee not the rank and file. Even if Trump is convicted of all 91 fraudulent charges before the 2024 convention and put in prison with secret service protection ...The insiders live in la la land. There are 10s of millions of Trump supporters who will not show up and vote for the GOP nominee. The lying RINOs have been exposed .... they counted on the rank and file conservatives to support the nominee for decades, but when it was time for RINOs to show up and support Trump, or to do the things they campaigned for doing (e.g. repeal obozofraudcare) they actively worked against Trump and did nothing to advance conservative givernment or stop election fraud.

Nothing can help Haley.... cmon man. Christie is great comedy, I hope he stays in. Neither one has a chance in hell vs Trump. Im not sure which one is actually more gross at this point.

True, but Reagan won 4 years later by running right, and avoiding the Schweiker debacle.

Krispy etc are more McCain and Hillary.
