The hostage deal which has seen the release of 26 Israeli hostages from Gaza so far includes a commitment by the Israeli government not to target the senior leadership of the Hamas terrorist organization in Qatar, the French newspaper Le Figaro reported.
According to the newspaper, Qatar received from Israel as part of the outline for the release of the hostages from Gaza a promise according to which the Mossad would not carry out assassinations of senior Hamas members on Qatari soil.
It was also reported that the Qataris set conditions on their role as mediators between Israel and Hamas.
On Wednesday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that he has “instructed the Mossad to act against the heads of Hamas wherever they are.”
He added that there is “no such obligation" not to target Hamas leaders abroad in the hostage deal.
Defense Minister Yoav Gallant added that Hamas' leaders outside of Gaza "are living on borrowed time."
“The struggle is worldwide: From gunman in the field to those who are enjoying luxury jets while their emissaries are acting against women and children, they are destined to die,” Gallant said.

Sorry to hear that. A moment I shall never forget is Christmas Eve late, spent in the Shepherd’s field below the Church of the Nativity and looking up into Bethlehem. Even now it brings tears to my eyes.
Well said.
F@#$ing cowards.
A French newspaper claims Netanyahu made this pledge.
This claim is denied by both Netanyahu and the Israeli Defense Minister, both of whom added in strong terms that the Hamas leadership is a target, and Netanyahu saying “wherever they are.”
The article could be misinformation, or it could be a misinterpretation — for example, Qatar (an unreliable terrorist state) may interpret the 4-day cease-fire to include actions against the leadership in Qatar for the duration of the cease-fire.
This story also could be planted to give the Hamas leadership a false sense of security.
Bibi’s waiting for Trump to cap them when he gets in office.
SOOOOOOO—KIDNAP them & kill them across the border ?????
Secondly, doesn't mean that the minute they step on inch out of Quatar, they're dead men.
This is going to end up just like what they did after Munich. Might take one year, might take 20 years... they're dead.
Everyone forgets that Netanyahu lost a brother to Islamic terrorists... I'm sure he's forgotten... but maybe someone will remind him. He looks like the live and let live pacifist... right?
Yoni was the sole battle casualty in a heroic and epic rescue of hostages. Since then, terrorists have learned to separate hostages and disperse them, so they’re harder to rescue. What clever slimeballs they are.
Sorry to hear what, that Mossad assassinated the Red Prince, one of the architects of the Munich massacre?
... or they are still searching for him.
Not Ali Hassan Salameh. (The Red Prince) They assassinated him in 1979. They may still be looking for that other dude, that I never even heard of till today, but the Red Prince, is dead.
Hopefully the Qatarian Ham-asses are dumb enough to believe Bibi’s promise.
