The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is encouraging Americans to “keep” their holiday plans and “get vaccinated” for protection, despite the fact that the coronavirus vaccine does not prevent one from contracting the virus or halt virus transmission.
“Keep your holiday plans. Get vaccinated. Stay protected,” an image shared by the CDC reads, featuring a group of people smiling around the dinner table about to have a Thanksgiving meal.
“Planning for COVID-19 protection makes for a safer, healthier holiday season. Get yourself and your loved ones vaccinated and stay up to date on your immunizations,” the caption reads.

I am a dialysis patient.I started receiving treatment, with the emergence of the virus.
I received the 3 set of shots.
My arm developed earthworm size clots. The wise specialist doctor has since routed veins, used corollary balloons, and a major graft , which another specialist doctor has declared as ‘phooked’, leaving me with less usage of my hand, and sensation in my ring and pinky fingers.
I am thankful that my chest port works.
I live alone, chief cook, bottlewasher, et al. My right hand is off limits to them.
The CDC can go sit on their thumbs.
Protect public health.
The family in the CDC ad looks a bit non-traditional but at least no masks.
