I rode on the portion of the 10 the day it reopened after the ‘94 earthquake collapse. No way I’m riding on this portion anytime soon. If Newsome is involved, I’m sure corners were cut so he can look good for 2024. No thanks.

I had to drive around that area two days ago, unfortunately - an under one hour drive took over two hours - the big rigs were on the side streets and on the 110 freeway where they’re normally prohibited.
Newsom wants to make sure his opponents don’t use this against him and is hurrying up the project - he has his sites on POTUS no matter what he mouths to the media.
As for the homeless, I’m with Musk: Where did they all go?

Doesn't mean fully repaired, simply that cars can go through. Presumably diminished capacity for a while.
