How Gavin Newsom can become the Democrat nominee without a primary.

Something to keep in mind -

The attacks on Biden from the Democrat Establishment coincide with the ascent of Gavin Newsom.

How could the DNC avoid a messy primary and nominate their preferred candidate (Newsom)?

It’s in the fine print.

Biden is increasingly frail and confused, his dementia is worsening and his economic plan is faltering.

His popularity continues to crumble even among Democrats.

Consider the possibility that he resigns after receiving the Presidential nomination at the DNC 2024 convention.

Why that specific timing?

Because –

Rules adopted by the Democratic National Committee in 2022 leave the DNC as the sole authority to appoint a Presidential nominee where that nominee resigns after the August 2024 convention.

No vote or primary needed.

Newsom is already running a presidential campaign – his tour of China, Xi’s visit to SF (why not DC??), his civil rights stops in the US.

The question is whether he is targeting 2024 or 2028.

Maybe it’s both.

“Rules adopted by the Democratic National Committee in 2022 leave the DNC as the sole authority to appoint a Presidential nominee “ How very democratic of them.

Newsom will be the Dem candidate. Unless Big Mike accepts the throne.

Their problem is how to get Kamala off the ticket. She can’t be Newsom’s running mate because the California electors (100% guaranteed to be Democrat electors) can’t vote for both Newsom and Kamala. Unless there is a SC vacancy in 2024, there’s nothing really attractive to offer her comparable to being next in line to the Presidency.

Why pretend there is some “legal” process to anything happening in the US.

Biden is acquitted of the same charges Trump is being accused of committing?

Blacks are given hand-slaps or just let go after beating a cop?

There is NO JUSTICE in this country. There are only fascists in power with their own laws which do not correspond to the legal platform of the US.

Newsomfornia is not a dumpster fire.

It is a massive homeless encampment under a freeway - on fire.

Party’s can fill most vacancies in certain circumstances. I continue to believe this is the method the Party will appoint Biden’s replacement.

They could also refuse to vote Biden in at the Convention.

Lots of superdelegates and shenanigans possible.

Isn't that how the Republicans do it, too? If a Republican nominee for President or VP were to die in mid-October, I can't imagine the RNC trying to reconvene a national convention.

Gavin Gruesome seems to be China’s preferred candidate as well.

Xi Jinping publicly hosted him at the Great Hall of the People just two weeks ago, while the Chinese Government wouldn’t even meet a cabinet secretary from the Biden administration

And look how easily/quickly Gavin Gruesome cleaned up SF’s streets when Xi came to town?

Got me to wondering...

Who was the last presidential candidate selected that did not participate in Primaries?

And guesses? Answer in a moment.....

“Democrat electors) can’t vote for both Newsom and Kamala.”

Actually this is exactly the escape hatch they have been looking for. They have been searching for a way move Kamala out for two years. They will Claim Newsom has no choice he has to replace her. Two huge problems solved.

Easier solution: Biden resigns, Kamala takes office and. Newsome becomes VP. Kamala then resigns to pursue other opportunities. Why would she, you ask? How about for a $100 million payoff?

Don’t say it couldn’t happpen.

The only thing stopping the RNC from doing away with primaries and selecting a GOPe type to nominate is the voters will write in Trump.

They may have him killed. The Swamp of either party would be perfectly willing to arrange that. Then like the DNC arrangement above, perhaps the RNC can select.

The Trump VP nominee becomes even more critically important in that scenario. He or she must absolutely not come from any sort of political career, that guarantees they are Swamp.

Let me rephrase my question. Besides an incumbent, who was the last presidential candidate chosen outside the primary process?

Hubert Humphrey. 1968.

Joe’s out. He won’t be on the Dem ticket.

The DNC will insert someone at the last minute.

It’s a gamble they just might have to make. Democrat voters are like lemmings. They follow.

There’s RFK Jr. He could fit back in.
Then there’s the Bernie wing. Would they take it sitting down again?

We have the ability to exploit these fissures but we won’t do it.

Let’s say Biden croaks and Kamala’s in. I’d yell fire in that crowded political theater. 2024-the whole year will be quite turbulent. Might as well throw gas on the fire. Election results won’t be accepted.

Indeed.

“””DNC as the sole authority

to appoint a Presidential nominee

where that nominee resigns after the August 2024 convention.

\/

No vote or primary needed.

No vote = democracy ?????? !!!! ??

Here’s the question:

Will the Democrat base (gays, blacks and other POCs, lefties and radicals) accept a straight White male as their candidate?
