45th President of the United States Donald J. Trump to Deliver Remarks at Team Trump Iowa Commit to Caucus Event in Fort Dodge, Iowa @ Fort Dodge High School. 4 pm.
Big sis has Meet the Beatles and Rubber Soul.
Both in VERY good condition.
Oh, no question he was a jerk. Most all the stars were jerks back then, and still are! :-)
I am glad I never got famous, or I may have become a jerk too. hahaha
Brubeck and the Weavers might fetch a nice sum.
The others are not really in demand. I used to love The Kingston Trio back in the day.
AWESOME! (I think they both have been reissued, but Vintage in good condition are always preferrable.)
And yes, LOTS of JERKS back then, now, and even in years before that.
Of course, chemically-induced jerkhood is always worse than 100% Natural jerkhood.
Drugs and alcohol seem to have a way of devastating creative artists all through history.
Beethoven was a jerk, so was Van Gogh.
Moussorgsky and Wagner were antisemitic jerks, and Gaugin was a lustful, racist jerk.
But I love their art. It’s tough sometimes seeing past that stuff.
I have a story re The Weavers/Pete Seeger.
My mother told me that they were STINKING COMMIES, so I stopped buying the records, as she gave me a lecture about boycotts. And yes, I've always HATED stinking COMMIES!
About 30 years or so ago, I was in Manhattan and waiting for the car, and I saw Pete. He looked TERRIBLE. And I LOUDLY stated : "O-M-G... Pete Seeger, I thought that that wretched COMMIE was dead; he should be!"
He physically cringed.
Poor Van Gough ( one of my favorites ) had mental problems to begin with and his parents ( especially his father ) was really nasty to him, when he was growing up and into adulthood.
LOL! My mom met Mary Travers on a cruise ship, and got into a conversation with her.
Mom asked, “Are you still a communist?”
She sputtered a bit, and then said, “No but I still care about people.”
Like...Communists CARE about People? hahaha
Virtue signalling is a very old LEFTY TROPE!
Vincent was the second son with that name. The first Vincent died in infancy, and he was the replacement.
Problem was he had to pass Baby Vincent’s GRAVE every morning when he went to school.
I know. He was BADLY treated by EVERYONE, except his brother Theo.
God Bless Theo! :-)
Your SIL probably has a lot of the same albums I have.
I stopped listening to Rock, except for Neil Diamond, in the early 70’s and switched to Country.
When kids became teens in the 80’s I was FORCED to listen to the Rock music of that time whether I liked it or not, on in their bedrooms, bathroom and den, reverberated throught the house.
I did control the car radio, HA!
😂😂
Yep. But he sure could write an awesome letter!
