In October, author Tim Sheridan urged people to pick up a copy of his latest work, a Green Lantern re-boot in which the DC superhero has sex with his boyfriend. Despite his pleas, the comic appears to have struggled to gain favor among readers.
On Amazon, the e-book version of the first issue of Alan Scott, Green Lantern currently sits at #277 in superhero comics & graphic novels, and 39,736 among all titles in the Kindle store.
"The only way we can shut these people down is to make this book an undeniable success," Sheridan told his fans in a video announcing the new comic, suggesting "haters and the queerphobes are out in force."
"The only way to prove to the big publishers that there's a huge market for authentic stories about LGBTQIA+ characters and these stories are for everyone is to buy the heck out of books like this," he added, pointing out that he would be donating profits to the Elton John Aids Foundation.

I read a comic by a well-known author on Kindle Unlimited. Here how they suggest a gay relationship. Two pretty young male warriors stare into each others’ eyes and pledge loyalty forever, since they’re both outsiders for being witcborn, they understand the world is against them and they must stick together - you get the idea. They do everything but kiss.
I remember Sgt Rock comics from when I was a kid (1950’s), I don’t think they even do comics like that anymore.
Now days the Sarge would have to killing raghead /chechen/black terrorists, and commies; that wouldn’t be considered politically correct by our “kinder, gentler society” now would it?
They can’t leave the original characters alone; there is no real creativity in the pervert world, all they can do is take an existing idea and try to twist, subvert and corrupt it.
PERVERTS ARE INCAPABLE OF ORIGINAL THINKING!
I havent read comics since the 50s. Lol. Except Neil Gaiman. And a brief stint of The Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers in the 70s.
Sgt Rock would still be fighting EVIL. His machine gun would be burping in the NYT building. Langley. State Dept. Hollywood, the UN, etc.
Yeah, you sure got those battle fields right: I think I was pretty much done with them about 61 maybe 62.
After regular comics came MAD MAGAZINE but I was pretty much done with even that about 64, had more important things to get done.
