China’s dystopian population goals: forced procreation and ‘industrialized births’
The Hill ^ | 11/9/23 | Gordon Chang

China’s leaders look like they are now panicking over population decline. Will they force couples to procreate? Or will they industrialize the process of procreation?

Xi Jinping, in remarks published by the official Xinhua News Agency on Oct. 30, told women to start a “new trend of family.” Linking “family harmony, social harmony, national development, and national progress,” he said it is necessary to “actively cultivate a new culture of marriage and childbearing and strengthen guidance on young people’s view on marriage, childbirth and family.”

The Communist Party, is considering more coercive policies. Since the first years of communism in China, the regime has been monitoring menstrual cycles, and a decade ago it began stepping up such efforts. Moreover, lower-tier governments are exacting penalties. For instance, in 2017, after the relaxation of the one-child policy, some localities required payment of a deposit on marriage with the funds returned only after the birth of a second child.

Xi already has the intrusive family planning apparatus to apply coercive tactics like heavy fines, harassment and monitoring women’s pregnancies until birth. Xi Jinping will undoubtedly use the nationwide social credit system being put in place, so, in all probability, it will not be long before births are necessary to achieve high scores. In any event, Xi has been imposing totalitarian social controls, so he will eventually fall back on dictatorial solutions, especially as his initial pro-birth efforts fail.

“Sooner or later, reproduction will be an industrialized process, it’s the only way to maintain a healthy birthrate,” Zhao DaShuai of the People’s Armed Police Propaganda Bureau wrote on X this August, posted with an image of a human fetus growing inside a machine. “The key is to make it state run, ensuring absolute equality in this procedure.”

The end goal is in sight. “Industrialized procreation”. Equality in population? Expect a wave of forced government controlled eugenics in the future.

Some theorize that covid was meant to reduce the population of old people, since about 80% of those who died with covid were over 80 and had four or more comorbidities.

Perhaps China should adopt Dr. Strangelove’s positions on repopulating the country.

Strangelove:
Well, that would not be necessary Mr. President. It could easily be accomplished with a computer. And a computer could be set and programmed to accept factors from youth, health, sexual fertility, intelligence, and a cross section of necessary skills. Of course it would be absolutely vital that our top government and military men be included to foster and impart the required principles of leadership and tradition. Slams down left fist. Right arm rises in stiff Nazi salute. Arrrrr! Restrains right arm with left. Naturally, they would breed prodigiously, eh? There would be much time, and little to do. But ah with the proper breeding techniques and a ratio of say, ten females to each male, I would guess that they could then work their way back to the present gross national product within say, twenty years.
Muffley:
But look here doctor, wouldn’t this nucleus of survivors be so grief stricken and anguished that they’d, well, envy the dead and not want to go on living?
Strangelove:
No sir... Right arm rolls his wheelchair backwards. Excuse me. Struggles with wayward right arm, ultimately subduing it with a beating from his left.
Also when... when they go down into the mine everyone would still be alive. There would be no shocking memories, and the prevailing emotion will be one of nostalgia for those left behind, combined with a spirit of bold curiosity for the adventure ahead! Ahhhh! Right are reflexes into Nazi salute. He pulls it back into his lap and beats it again. Gloved hand attempts to strangle him.
Turgidson:
Doctor, you mentioned the ration of ten women to each man. Now, wouldn’t that necessitate the abandonment of the so called monogamous sexual relationship, I mean, as far as men were concerned?
Strangelove:
Regrettably, yes. But it is, you know, a sacrifice required for the future of the human race. I hasten to add that since each man will be required to do prodigious... service along these lines, the women will have to be selected for their sexual characteristics which will have to be of a highly stimulating nature.
DeSadeski:
I must confess, you have an astonishingly good idea there, Doctor.
Strangelove:
Thank you, sir.

How are they going to get 1.4 billion people to forget they are responsible for the current population decline problem with their one-child policy that was in place for the majority of chinese? (There were exceptions for rural areas and in some cases if a girl was born first in some places).

I think Gordon is an Insider I cringe but we are where we are at with China.

Built them up to borrow their money now they are getting too big for their britches.

2025 was the year designated when China would become too big and dangerous to the US years ago.

I heard Gordon Chang a decade ago suggesting it might be time to reconsider doing business in China.

Gordon Chang the point man for the Powers That Be regarding China.

That’s why “The Hill” is publishing him.

There is a Uniparty in this country and a Uniparty policy.

Red China has 4 times the “legal” population of the United States, inhabiting the about the same land area as the lower 48 states.

Why are they upset about a declining population?

Forced procreation?

DOG: Now, where were you? Oh yeah in the hospital.

BOY: Oh Blood, come on.

DOG: You know if they just let you have your way with the blushing bride Instead of hooking you up to the machine, you'd probably never come back up. (laughs)

BOY: You sure you had enough to eat?

DOG: Oh yes. I'm satiated.

BOY: What?

DOG: Nothing, I said I'm full

BOY: But after we walk all day, you'll probably have to cook up what's left. She said she loved me. Oh hell, it wasn't my fault she picked me to get all wet-brained over.

DOG: Well I'd say she had marvelous judgment, Albert, If not particularly good taste...particularly good....

Old people.
You need at least 5 people being productivity for every dependent.

Once a population is in decline, it becomes very difficult to turn it around because it doesn’t take long before children become too expensive, relatively, when you have so many other expenses that you can’t avoid.

Got to pay pensions and keep the factories humming after the current generation retires.

The phrase of the year — I see it over and over again — is “gradually, then suddenly.” By the time people realize it’s a problem the economy is already in decline. See Japan.

China has a lot of unoccupied apartment buildings. Maybe they could take some of our migrants and make both us and them happy.
