I live in Ruston, and I’m a LA Tech alum. I know two of the victims - Cynthia Woodard is a retired LA District Court Judge, and Debby Holliman is a retired HS teacher who taught my daughter English Lit.

I’ve met Woodard several times and also Holliman who used to serve on the local library board.

The three older women were just out of a daily water aerobics class that meets daily at the Tech recreation center. I don’t know about the grad student who is not doing well (rumor has it).

The perp apparently didn’t know any of the victims, but it is reported that he lived in university housing about a block from the recreation center.
