DAVID SACKS: Yeah, that's exactly the point that we've reached. What you've really seen over the past week or so is that the narrative dam around the reality of Ukraine has completely broken and the truth is now pouring out.
It started with that Time Magazine article where Zelensky's own aides and advisors said that he was "delusional," for this, what they said, "messianic belief in their ultimate victory." One of his advisors said they are out of options, they are not winning, but "try telling him that."
That wasn't the end of it, you had this NBC News story basically saying the war was deadlocked and in a stalemate. But even more than that, officials said that if Ukraine didn't negotiate by the end of the year, the situation would become urgent. You could almost hear the panic in these unnamed officials' voices.
Then you had the New York Times just the other day talking about an open rift that has developed between Zelensky and his commander-in-chief, Zaluzhny.
Zaluzhny did an interview with The Economist in which he said the was is a stalemate. Zelensky disagreed with that in a press conference and so now the two are openly at odds with each other in the press.
So what you see now is there is no agreement within even the Ukrainian senior leadership, between Zelnsky and his advisors, and between Zelensky and his top general, about what is happening in the war.
I think now the truth has broken out, which is that Ukraine is not winning this war, the counteroffensive has been a failure, and if they don't start doing something different, they're headed for disaster.

If they were smart, they should be laying the groundwork and infrastructure for an insurgency, and make it so expensive and untenable over the long haul, that Russia will have to do the same thing it did in Afghanistan decades ago which is leave.
The Truth is That Ukraine Is Not Winning This War
Oh, please......we knew that from the getgo.
How totally incomprehensible that people like 10% Biden
actually took the word of the “dancing star”.....Zelensky.
Billions were at stake......for Biden and the lying Z.
He’s an actor playing a part. He deserves an academy award for the most money raised. He is doing his best to keep the gravy train running and that is his main motivation. I think the gravy train is the only thing between him and the graveyard.
I'm sure most know who they are so no need to mention names.
They told us that military strategists such as Col. MacGregor has been wrong at every turn.
While in the beginning he made some assumptions as to how Russia would attack in great overwhelming force, mainly because he, like everyone else, didn't realize just how much Putin's heart was not into invading Ukraine. His only motivation for doing so was to stop the terror activity being carried out in eastern Ukraine against Russian speaking Ukrainians. But we won't return any of the land now, just like Israel won't, National Security.
In the meantime, those of us who were trying to convey the reality were treated as traitors to this nation.
Problem is, we have some extremely bright people here @ FR, but in their minds only.
Russia never wanted this war, it was an 0bomba/s0r0s production.a
Define “winning”. From the Ukrainian point of view it is for Russian forces to leave the parts of Ukraine they stole.
From the American point of view, it is for Russian forces to be so eroded they cannot mount a threat to other nations.
Importantly, from the Russian point of view it is “Anschluss”, one of two kinds.
“Anschluss” is a German word that means “connection” or “joining.” Russia has invaded several places that have a majority of ethnic Russians living there, to connect them to greater Russia. However, there is also the “Anschluss” of rejoining the parts of the old Soviet Union under modern Russia.
Most likely they are pursuing the former goal, which means every nation in the region with a sizeable Russian minority is at risk, and know it. So these nations are more than willing to back Ukrainian resistance to Russia.
This includes parts of eastern Europe, by the way. So those Americans who are now demanding peace, if they achieve their goal, may only set the stage for a broader war.
The ruse of Ukraine winning was required to keep US money flowing ...
The tragedy is that dimwit Biden and like-thinkers had only
Zelensky’s “word” of the non-existent Ukraine “victories.”
I’m not sure they want to go the insurgency route. Russia doesn’t handle insurgents the same way the West handles them. However, Uke and Russia can play how they like as far as I’m concerned. Not my circus, not my monkeys.
Biden is losing his Ukraine Proxy War that American taxpayers are funding
Buyden and Balmy backed the wrong horse
A key turning point came when the Russians began their assault on the coke factory in Andriivka...coke being the main ingredient driving Ukraine’s war machine. 😉
I want my Mommy!
The war in Ukraine was always a result of our meddling. We have done everything we can to provoke and keep the war going based on the insane belief we could win and damage Russia. It's the biggest foreign policy debacle since Vietnam.
“if they don’t start doing something different, they’re headed for disaster”
Ukrainians are not known for their smarts.
They even trusted a sincere Bill Clinton promise to ensure the integrity of their borders in exchange for giving up their nukes.
They believe this nation is the same nation that defeated the Axis.
They are clueless about the disaster of uncontrolled spending, and how it will negatively impact every American, including them. They are totally unconcerned about the invasion of this country.
If I didn't know better, I would actually believe them to be zombies, because I see little difference between the two.
Russia was pretty brutal in the Afghanistan insurgency...and they ultimately still had to pull out against a less organized, less equipped, and less resourced enemy than the Ukrainians.
From a strategic perspective, a Ukranian insurgency would have absolute legitimacy to the majority of the world, they would easily have and keep the support of the local population, and they are not geographically isolated....meaning they share borders with countries that would be supportive...or at least allow support to flow through there borders into Ukraine.
And remember....they don’t have to win...they just need to not lose to be successful.
