The Republican Party’s once-crowded 2024 presidential primary field has suddenly shrunk to just a handful of viable candidates.
But a day after Sen. Tim Scott of South Carolina stunned many of his own staff by suspending his campaign, it’s unclear whether the GOP is any closer to coalescing behind a clear alternative to former President Donald Trump. Instead, the fight between Nikki Haley and Ron DeSantis for a distant second place appears to be intensifying. And some lower-tier candidates insist on battling for relevance, despite growing pressure to bow out of the race altogether.
Meanwhile, Trump’s team is cheering on the muddle for second place with Iowa’s Jan. 15 kickoff caucuses just two months away.
Still, there were new positive signs on Monday for Haley, Scott’s South Carolina rival, who had been rising in the Republican contest even before the senator’s sudden announcement. […]
But DeSantis is showing no signs of going away as he narrows his focus on Iowa’s leadoff caucuses. […]
The Trump campaign issued a statement on Monday highlighting Haley’s plans to invest $10 million in an advertising campaign across Iowa and New Hampshire beginning in early December, which is designed to give her an advantage over DeSantis. …

If the Ass Press was serious about stopping Trump they’d endorse him.
Yes it is.
I think the RATs were expecting to get off cheap buying the White House this time. It still would be nice to make those bastards spend a lot of Georgie Soros’ beans.
They were in the pool!
It was always too late to stop Trump
They might try that as a last resort.
The kiddie pool is shrinking. And some of the kids left turds in it.
So the AP officially outed themselves as never Trumpers. That means they’re against energy independence and gas that costs less than 2 bucks a gallon, no new wars, secure borders, and record low unemployment, especially among minorities. You know, all the things that made America great.
It means the ass press is against America
When did it become the job of the ashos at the Ass. Press’s to stop Trump?
the American people do not want to stop Trump!
it is all those that imagime they steer the ship of state.
Tim Scott quit the presidential race yesterday (Sunday Nov. 12, 23). It’s almost 5.30pm here in California now. I have yet to hear anybody remark on that news item.
I suppose the lack of interest is further testimony to the fact that Tim Scott did not stir up much interest at all.
In today’s world, it would be very hard for a softspoken, low key personality like Scott to win the presidency.
If fate were different, where Trump got to serve his second term, and Pence were running for 2024, that would be different. Even then, the sedate personality would not have had to campaign like your typical candidate. He would have in effect ‘inheirited’ the office.
I thought Super Meatball was going to save the day?
The Ass Press: A news source that is created by monkeys banging on a keyboard.
“In a big blow to Ron DeSanctimonious, a new report notes that Nikki ‘Birdbrain’ Haley will spend $10 million in advertising skewering DeSanctus in Iowa and New Hampshire,” the Trump campaign said, pointing to Haley’s recent rise in the polls and using the former president’s derisive monikers for the two. “She is gaining momentum while he is dropping like a rock.” .... This unhinged remark is a perfect example of why I won’t vote for Trump. Voted for him twice but he’s beneath contempt imo. He’s an “If I can’t have it, nobody else can” narcissist. He’s showing voters who he is for those with ears to hear.
Would the Ass Press put out a headline like this for a Dim? That’s what I thought.
It was always too late to stop Trump. 😏
I wonder if her plan is to wreck Desanctimonius so she can win SC with a lightened field. I hope it is...
