Biden Administration officials have contacted senior Israeli officials demanding clarifications on the speech given by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu last night in which he stated that "We will continue to control security in the Gaza Strip for as long as it takes to prevent terrorism."
According to the report, the administration is attempting to understand what Netanyahu means when he says Israeli security control, what form that control will take, and how it will affect the situation in Gaza the day after the war, Kan Reshet Bet reported.
The Biden Administration has publically opposed an Israeli "reoccupation" of Gaza following the war against Hamas. Last week, Secretary of State Antony Blinken said: "It's also clear that Israel cannot occupy Gaza."

Well yes and no
I suspect the commission will include Israel, Jordan, The UAE, Saudi Arabia and the United States. It will be secular and not Islamist. I can’t make up my mind about Egypt. It may be Egypt rather than Jordan
Although many here will deny it, there in fact rational leaders in Jordan (Egypt), Saudi Arabia and the UAE. Their objective is to heal the wounds made by the surgical removal of the cancerous Hamas. They want the money to be used for actual development and not corruption. They don’t want to continue throwing money down an unproductive rat hole
“The Biden Administration”
Biden has nothing to do with anything anymore, he doesn’t even know where he is if you saw him at Arlington yesterday. This is all Obama and the Marxist domestic enemies in his caliphate. Our government is under an enemy occupation that is run by that faggot and nobody is doing anything about it.
“It is pretty astonishing. Right here on Free Republic we see people who fully side with the idiocy coming out of the Biden regime.”
Some of which fully that support Trump. It makes no sense. It does, however, make me very curious to find out the “why” of it.
Agree
Netanyahu informing the Biden administration no your not going to have any control in Gaza.
“ESPECIALLY a foreign government dependent soley upon the US for their survival.”
If we were dependent solely upon the US for our survival, we’d have been dead in 1948. The US was supplying spare parts to Jordan’s air force in 1967. At that time, our air force was comprised chiefly of Mirage jets that we had developed in partnership with France. After 1968, LBJ figured we were a useful ally, because we had made monkeys of the Soviets, who were backing Egypt and Syria. We get some good kit from the US, and we help the US develop even better kit, including high-tech tweaks to top-of-the-line fighter jets, whenever we purchase them. It’s still a mutually beneficial relationship, as it was, starting in 1968. With Obama, that relationship became more adversarial, then Trump came in, and we were friends again, and with the Biden administration, America’s part has been feckless, and just as reluctant as it had been under Obama.
“Dependent solely upon the US for our survival”? Hardly. For that, we turn to a Higher Power.
Should Netanyahu write it in Crayon? Maybe add some stick-man pictures?
Brandon and Co are NOT the US, they are usurpers.
Don’t be too sophisticated for Brandon.
“FU JoeBama”
Understand now?
He wants Netanyahu to detail how much terrorism he is willing to live with. Quantitatively, in terms of the number of rapes, tortures, dismemberments, decapitations, human incinerations and murders per annum.
Maybe Biden should focus on not needlessly getting 5 of our airmen killed in accidents in-theater, and then worry about Israel.
But he’s the moral watch dog over Israel, making sure we don’t violate the “rules of war” no matter what he says those rules are. What time does he have for such paltry matters as the lives of servicemen. Rules of war!
Don’t forget kidnappings.
Stop rehashing every perceived slight you've ever suffered and put your future where your mouth is, tough guy. --- Insist! the US leave you completely and irrevocably alone.
I’m not the Prime Minister, so of what relevance is your dare. Your assertions are demonstrably false, as I’ve just demonstrated. We are not “solely dependent” on the US for our survival. The US just recognized a good thing when they saw it in the context of the Cold War, so put some money on a winner, and continues to do so. You just like to pretend that that’s the case due to factors that a competent psychologist might shed light on. So instead, when called out by facts, you pivot to this stupid dare.
“put your future where your mouth is, tough guy”
I’m in Nahariya, 12 kilometers from Lebanon as the missile flies. Occasionally, we have to go to our bomb shelter when there’s an alarm. We can no longer go to the beach. Previously, I lived in Judah and Samariah, Gush Etzion region, but had to move North due to concerns about the health of a family member. Often, terrorists infiltrate Gush Etzion, and did so many times while I lived there. My future is in this tiny country, which remains hazardous regardless of what America does or doesn’t do.
Do you think Netanyahu will do that?
“My future is in this tiny country, which remains hazardous regardless of what America does or doesn’t do.”
My prayers are with you and I seek only the best for you, your family and for your nation. As a Christian, I stand with Israel.... as does most Christians in America and throughout the world. That’s the only ‘real’ line in the sand that I know of. It’s the age-old one re: good vs. evil.
Be thankful that some people are revealing who and what they are now. It’s a silver lining to the disaster we’re living under in these times.
I’m not sure.
In my opinion, it is one of four things:
A DISPARITY NOT FACED, THOUGHT OUT, OR IS INNATELY RECOGNIZED AND IGNORED
These are the people who know, deep down, that they are wrong. But they won’t allow it to surface and affect their stance. It is an obvious disparity that in normal people would, I think, cause a great deal of disruptive and destructive cognitive dissonance. (That is why the Left is so insane, because there is a terrible degree of cognitive dissonance in a multitude of their ideological beliefs. It bounces around in their heads destroying their gray matter, should any actually exist.)
A DISPARITY NOT CONCEIVED OF
Someone who simply is not aware of the issue enough to even realize the disparity, and there isn’t even a hint of cognitive dissonance in them. This happens a lot too. 50% of the population is in the lower half of the IQ distribution.
IDEOLOGICAL BLINDNESS
Many of us are guilty of this in some form or degree, so there is that. These people are not the ignorant “A DISPARITY NOT CONCEIVED OF” types. They are well versed in the issues, but when given a Manichaean choice, decide to cut on that line on once side or the other.
PROVOCATUER OR TROLL
We do have plenty of them. They don’t need to be right or wrong on a given issue, they just have an end in mind, and words on a subject are simply a means to that end. They don’t care if there is inconsistency because it doesn’t suit their needs or achieve their goals.
I think your last point may be the one that resonates the most. It’s the inconsistency that bothers me. Trump has, in the past, been a solid friend and supporter of Netanyahu. Has that changed lately and we just haven’t heard yet? If not, somebody jumped the shark on this issue. And if so.... why? To what end?
So many unanswered questions these days.
