Trump's Attorney Has Perfect Response When Judge Says 'Control Your Client'

The combustible atmosphere in the civil trial of former President Donald Trump on allegations of fraud turned into open fireworks Monday in a New York courtroom as Trump took the stand.

Legal analyst Lisa Rubin posted on X one snippet of the sniping that took place as Judge Arthur Engoron vented to Trump defense attorney Chris Kise his displeasure with the 2024 presidential candidate’s answers on the stand.

“Mr. Kise, can you control your client? This is not a political rally … Maybe you should have a talk with him right now,” Rubin quoted Engoron as saying.

Kise instead said it would be better to let the “former and future chief executive of the United States” answer.

Guardian reporter Hugo Lowell posted another bit of byplay on social media.

“I beseech you to control him if you can. If you can’t, I will. I will excuse him and draw every negative inference that I can,” Engoron said, according to Lowell.

Lowell also noted that at one point, Trump attorney Alina Habba said in open court that if the state prosecutor wanted better answers, he should ask better questions.

That prompted Engoron to order her to sit down.

“Very, very unfair trial, and I hope the public is watching,” Trump said then, according to Lowell.

Simply because you don’t believe in hell does not mean that hell does not exist.

Check my tagline...

Go ahead, lie to yourself; stew in denial and hatred. What do I care?

Are things great or perfect. Nope. And remember, the fed is putting a drag on things. And yet, the economy remains resilient. I’m paying for gas what I was before the pandemic and prices tanked.

I don’t stew or hate. But I’m sure your opinions are baked in.

I still find it hard to believe the Judge hasn’t been removed and the angry black female sanctioned for contempt.

By whom? The judge is responsible for and has complete control of his courtroom.

Here is an interesting fifth amendment question for the group:

There are several parts of the fifth amendment that have been incorporated into the states. One of those that has been incorporated is the takings clause.

Can an argument be made that if this lone judge decides to confiscate the entire Trump organization in New York as the penalty for this supposedly repeated claims of fraud, that it amounts to an illegal takings under the fifth amendment?

Can one hostile judge decide that President Trump is guilty even before the trial occurred, and then decide to take the entire Trump Organization from him unilaterally and not have that be an illegal taking without due compensation?
