Big City Democrat politicians and their police departments are dumb.

Hiding the manifesto was a political decision and a bad one. First, it undermines the credibility of Big City Democrats.

Second, hiding the manifesto sets Big City Democrats up for a possible malign actor to create and publish a false manifesto to fill the “fact vacuum” created by the Big City Democrats.

If and when a false manifesto is published, then what? Then Big City Democrats have to fight something with nothing. More reputational damage to Big City Democrats.

If the just published manifesto is real, Big City Democrats are left with two options: deny the truth or admit they failed in their mission to suppress the truth.

A third option would be for Big City Democrats to say, “We don't know what the truth is.”

And that might just be the truth.
