WASHINGTON (AP) — A federal appeals court temporarily lifted a gag order on Donald Trump in his 2020 election interference case in Washington on Friday — the latest twist in the legal fight over the restrictions on the former president’s speech.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit decision puts a hold on the limited gag order to give the judges time to consider Trump’s request for a longer pause on the restrictions while his appeals play out. The appeals court said the temporary pause “should not be construed in any way as a ruling on the merits” of Trump’s bid.

This is going to be a tough 3 judge panel for The Donald. Patricia Millett and Cornelia Pillard are Obama judges, and Brad Garcia is a Biden judge. If these three go overboard and trash Trump, they may be setting things up at SCOTUS for DJT.

Oral argument is set for Monday, November 20.

Thanks so much. It’s hard to keep track.

I don’t know how Donald J Trump does it. A persecution...NOT a prosecution.

Trump should use this to gaslight the lawfare swamp creatures, just load his socials with rumored witnesses; new evidence just provided to him by 3rd-party FOIAs; requests for these kangaroo court demons to recuse themselves; deposing the prosecutors and revealing their donors; punch down and give them mot a taste but a fistful of their own evil.

This a panel of 3. Can they insist it go before the full circuit?

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit is composed of egomaniacs and Democrats. Like the 9th out of California they are a joke. A sick joke.

We need congress to some day pass legislation requiring DC court cases to be randomly assigned around the nation’s district and circuit courts.

Yes, he can ask the Appeals Court to have an “en Banc” hearing to overrule the panel;the only avenue after that is Johnny Roberts and the Supremes.

limited gag orde>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Its not limited enough. She has infirnged on Trumps 1st amendment rights, one comment she made was that criminals do not have a rightto speak out about their trial, showing that there is no presumption of innicence.

The judge should be turfeed from the case and a new trial ordred.Any sane judge would dismiss the charges on a preliminary motion.

This is the case in front of U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan. I believe that is the one where he is charged with trying to overturn the election. Personally, I don’t think the charges are even based upon any law.

Ideally the public and the court should reach the same decision. Another reason I see is to protect the witnesses. Has their safety been compromised?

I meant that too. If the prosecution violates the gag order the defense should be able to violate it also.

Ideally the public and the court should reach the same decision.

If the public had a perfect understanding of the laws and legal issues involved, and received only information that was allowed under rules of evidence. That's almost never the case.
