Disgraced former Republican Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) has revealed that members of his own family have disowned him.
The lawmaker-turned-social media personality claims he received a “certified letter” from members of his family informing him that they were officially “disowning” him.
Kinzinger dropped the claim during a Monday interview with CNN.
The ex-congressman, who was a member of the Democrats’ anti-Trump Jan6 Committee, says his family suggested he can no longer be trusted.
“So, I had family that sent a certified letter disowning me.”
He claims his family had turned against him because of remarks made by Fox News television personality Sean Hannity.
“They said I’ve lost the trust of great men like Sean Hannity, which is funny, but they believe that.”
The Kinzinger family members also suggested the former representative has formed an allegiance with Satan.
“They said I was a member of the devil’s army,” he said.
Kinzinger was one of a handful of Republicans to vote to impeach President Donald Trump after the Jan. 6, 2021 disturbance.
The dissident Republican reiterated that should the GOP nominate Trump for the presidency, he will support President Joe Biden in the 2024 presidential election.
Kinzinger announced his retirement from Congress in 2021 after he lost his seat to redistricting.
Kinzinger’s district was partitioned in accordance with Illinois’ state redistricting process, according to Politico.
Ironically, Kinziger’s Democrat allies were the ones who redistricted him out of his seat.
New districts less favorable to Kinzinger’s electoral prospects left the Democrat-friendly legislator without a clear path to re-election.
Kinzinger routinely posts fiery messages on Twitter/X targeting Trump and Republicans,
The posts tend to re-hash partisan feuds from Trump’s presidency that have faded from the consciousness of the broader public.
Kinzinger didn’t mention which of his family members have turned against him, however.
Because he’s an embarrassment. They probably know things that we don’t know.
Assuming this is true (big assumption there) all he is doing is using his family and the families personal relations to further his own desires and self-image.
He fails to realize this reflects far more negatively upon him. I guess there is nothing he would not sacrifice to his own selfish nature.
I love the fact they sent a certified letter. How hysterical is that? They old schooled it. They didn’t send an email they didn’t call they sent a certified letter because you have to open up a certified letter. You never know what it’s gonna be. So freaking funny.

I don’t believe him. I think he’s making it up for (media) attention.
Why would anyone in his family waste the time — and money for a stamp — to send him a letter disowning him. That’s ridiculous. I’d just ignore him and never invite him to any family events, or tell him he’s not welcome.

Who says this stuff on nationwide tv concerning your family. Not only is he ignorant, he’s dumb!
No Thanksgiving invite for you. Many families split over politics and Covid. Sending a certified letter is a new twist though. His family wanted assurance that he received the message that he was disowned. Harsh but effective.
