On Wednesday night, a remarkable scene unfolded on the Senate floor as several Republicans, including Sens. Dan Sullivan (Alaska), Joni Ernst (Iowa), Todd C. Young (Ind.) and Lindsey O. Graham (S.C.) confronted Tuberville, imploring him to lift his hold for the sake of national security and proposing votes on individual officers whose promotions have been delayed. Tuberville rebuffed them one by one, blocking each proposed nominee as his colleagues’ frustration continued to rise.
The confrontation stretched nearly five hours, with Ernst, a retired Army officer, and Sullivan, a colonel in the Marine Corps Reserve, rotating to bring forward the bulk of 61 officers presented by name. They called out Tuberville for saying previously that he would relent on nominations that were brought forward for votes individually.
“Xi Jinping is loving this. So is Putin," Sullivan said at one point, referring to top leaders in China and Russia. "How dumb can we be, man?”

Joni Ernst, the one who campaigned on a promise to “make them squeal” is now the one squealing. The gutless snake entered the Senate squealing and kowtowing and hasn’t stopped.

Tuberville is 100% RIGHT to demand ALL Senators to go on the record with these dubious nominations. I say “dubious” trying to be “controlled” in my statement. Some of these nominations are horrible.
It is an addiction like sports to these insane inhumane criminals.
Tubberville was just interviewed on our local talk radio station. Part of this is that they (including Schumer) want military funding for abortion travel and leave afterward, which the interviewer mentioned is illegal - taxpayer $$ to pay for abortions)
They to bulk process 300 candidates at a time without vetting them, and T wants to process 3 or so at a time so that their records can be examined. And he HAS been processing promotions if I understood him correctly, just not bulk process the way they want.
That can only mean these other senators are too damn lazy to do the work that needs to be done to bring a vote on each nomination to the Senate floor.
Ernst and Sullivan both make a big deal out of being in the Reserve but in reality they sat at home in their living rooms drawing a gov’t check. They may have gone to boot camp but never exposed themselves to any difficulties of enlisted troops.

There are about eight of the 50 Rs in the Senate who are decent; Mitch McConnell is interchangeable with Schumer in my view and Lindsay Graham never met a war he didn’t like, as long as he didn’t have to fight in it.
