Political consultants and neverbackdown are apparently whispering in desantis' ear that there is a huge pool of people who could be convinced to vote for someone other than Trump, and somehow desanctimonious is the one to convince them to vote for him.

Even if the math based on polls doesn't seem to show it's possible.

They may be tired of Trump, but they’re even more tired of everybody else.

Wouldn’t it be ‘funny’ if someone convinced Kevin McCarthy to run for that nomination. It is probably too late for any new contenders anyway.

So what they're saying is that the majority of DeSantis supporters consist of "tired-of-Trump supporters."

No surprise there, since DeSantis droolers have consistently posted most of the anti-Trump articles on FR, and whined incessantly on pro-Trump articles. We know them all by name because they've made such chronic nuisances of themselves.

NeverTrumpers don't have one candidate they will get behind.

Trump will be nominated if not jailed or executed. NeverTrumpers will stay home or vote RFK. If Trump is not on the ballot, Nobody but Trumps will do the same thing.

We've got to unite for the GE. We agree with way more policies than we disagree on.

Just threw the third oversized postcard flier into the garbage a couple of days ago and flagged the group for “misinformation” on FB :-)

Here’s the elephant in the room: the decision has already been made by Iowa voters and most others. But, in Iowa we’ve figured out the caucuses are an economic cash cow, therefore the need to keep the illusion of a contest going. Frankly, it’s becoming pretty passe’ in the world we find ourselves. The real election can’t come soon enough.

Republican voters who want to move on from the one-time commander-in-chief.

"There’s the middle bucket, which are voters who voted for President Trump..... but they feel like it’s time to move on."

Those voters moved on before the primary season started. At times it seems the main job of Republican political consultants is staying on a candidate's payroll.

Lies!

How has that “middle bucket” grown when Trump continues to increase his lead over the other candidates and the other candidates’ poll numbers fall or do NOT grow except a few points off of each other?

My issue with Ron Desantis is that he has not made a case for why I should vote for him. Just because he is the “Not-Trump” candidate is not a good enough reason to vote for him.

My advise to Ron, get in front of a camera and convince me why you would be a great president.

Ron Desantis is a lousy campaigner. He comes across as light on the loafers. I total milquetoast like Pence.

The USA is falling apart and is on it’s last legs. We need a fire breathing George Paton, not another George (Shrub) Bush. /spit

There are countless people who vote republican who are much happier with Biden than Trump.

It says a lot about them. They just want their party back the way it was before Trump brought on the storm.

DeSantis made a lethal error early on when he decided to run as an antiTrumper. He immediately and irrevocably consigned himself to the dumpster of primary politics. What “consultant” thought it was a good idea to attack Trump, give Biden a free pass, and expect party members to vote for him? Could it be this brilliant PAC?

However, the so-called middle bucket “has grown” in the last few months, ... and is “consolidating behind DeSantis,” the source said.

So, Mr. 8% (DeSanctimonious) actually has Trump Supporters "consolidating" behind him??

Math must be really hard for these yahoos!
