Gov. Janet Mills expects President Joe Biden will visit Lewiston later this week in the wake of the worst mass shooting in Maine’s recent history.
Mills invited Biden to come to Lewiston and said that he’ll likely arrive Friday, although the exact details of his visit are not yet known.
Mills said Biden’s own experience with loss and grief make him uniquely suited to console a community shaken by a mass shooting that claimed the lives of 18 people and wounded 13 others.

POS Tina Kotek ordered Oregon’s flags to half-staff for the victims. I’m really not sure why. Because they were white (I’m assuming)? Seems like if you fly the flag at half-staff every time the government screws up, you’d wear out a lot of pulleys.
