We should be prepared to exterminate the entire population of Palestinians in Gaza unless HAMAS releases every American hostage. They should throw in the Israeli hostages too for bonus points.
That would be a good starting point for the negotiations. It will make the Israelis look like Palestinian saviors by comparison.
Warm up the B-52s for another ARC LIGHT mission. Let HAMAS know they are on standby. Let whatever opponent factions of HAMAS exist know that too. Then wait a bit and see what happens.
Just a modest proposal.
These folks are “American” in only the most technical, legal sense. They hold U.S. citizenship and U.S. passports, courtesy of our suicidal immigration practices. Whatever time they spent in the USA was for economic purposes only, because truth told, they hold contempt for our homeland, preferring to live in an islamic-terrorist lair like Gaza.
Only now, when that vermin pit is receiving its richly deserved consequences, do they dust off their secondary identity and demand that the place they hate come and rescue them.
I don’t know about that. No one has been able to leave since Oct. 7, including some there visiting relatives and such, prior to 10/7. It’s sure not something I would do, but, some people just like the idea of the adventure and / or dismiss the politics right up to the point hostilities break out. I have a couple of high school classmates who basically devoted their lives to the “cause” of clean water in poor African countries — and they had a couple narrow escapes when coups or sudden political changes occurred...
What if some of these “hostages” sympathize with HAMAS?

That does not really matter at all if they are "Americans".
The lesson to teach our adversaries is "Don't F*** around with Americans or you and your family and all your friends will die". And to make that lesson stick, we will need to actually go all the way at least once or twice with a practical demonstration. This is the same problem facing the IDF. We "don't believe that is who or what we are".
Times and great trauma can change deeply held beliefs in some people. Not all people.
Nobody in the Middle East takes Russian hostages. There are good reasons why that is so. We must learn from our adversaries; they are our greatest teachers.
We can quietly hang the treasonous "hostages" afterwards, if they aren't killed in the retaliatory strikes first. Or if HAMAS does not kill them first.
It is not about saving the hostages. For all practical purposes they are already dead. It is about making adversaries fearful of planning to take hostages as a tactical advantage.
When tactics fail, the enemy will stop using them. Or they will keep using them. In the latter case, the enemy must be pressed into extermination. Ineffective enemy tactics make that much easier.
War is an incredibly ugly business that makes permanent changes in the world. Best to win quickly and decisively with ruthless and unrestrained ferocity so that it is over as soon as possible. Then do what we can to restore the souls of the people who had to do the fighting.
We are not truly prepared for war right now.

They are specific in their actions. This admin is not being ‘negligent’ as it may appear, they are calculating. They want destabilization. These are some sick and demonic people.
Just as with the border. They have invited migrants from 96 countries beginning May 2021. They suddenly say they will build the wall. It won’t matter if they do because the CBP One app is in full swing. It’s a digital fast track into the country. Now these immigrants won’t have to run and hide, they just sign up in advance and are welcomed with open arms at the border.
