The MSN.com photo of the alleged damage is a 100 yard X 100 yard crater with no building debris in it, surrounded by badly damaged multi-story buildings.
There is no link to the photo, so I assume copyright issues.
Almost every statement in this article implies - without proof - that Israel is responsible.
To my eye, it looks like a massive explosion of stock piled high explosive weapons.

To my eye, it looks like a massive explosion of stockpiled high explosive weapons. No photos at the MSN link. Your assessment sounds correct. I would add - probably cooked off by an Israeli bunker buster strike.
Gaza City is a kill zone now. Anyone still there must be presumed to be part of hostile forces and targeted on sight.
It's not like the residents were left without warning. The tragic part is that residents may have no place to go, and HAMAS is not allowing them to leave even if they do have a place to go. They will die in the ensuing conflict.
But HAMAS is Gaza. Gaza is HAMAS. HAMAS has ruled Gaza with overwhelming support from the residents for the last 16 years. War is the only thing that can change that.

LeMay was correct in that statement.
