Spent the entire month of June in the va hospital. Again (second year in a row). And then 4 1/2 months in a skilled nursing rehab facility. Solved some of the medical issues but I'm still under the weather. Arms and hands still extremely weak. Still in bed for most of my time. Still can't sit in my powerchair very long. Still can't feed myself, etc. Still can't type. Still using voice recognition software to enter posts, etc. Very slow.
Our big problem right now is Chris is overwhelmed and stressed out. We're now looking for a full-time, live-in 24/7 caregiver. We can offer a salary plus room and board to the right person.
So basically, I've been in bed now for a year and a half And I've lost most of my strength. It's gonna take a lot of therapy To get me back on my feet. Still praying for miracles.

Good to hear your positive outlook and that you pray for miracles. We must never lose hope. I have tears in my eyes thinking about what you have accomplished with FreeRepublic. Just in my own life what this site has meant, a 24 year red pill plus friendships and sharing that mean so much. You are much loved and prayed for. Even in your condition you are giving and working. How can any of us ever complain again? Whoever writes the history of these times I hope it mentions the decades long commitment to advertiser free information. God bless you Jim. All in all, Jim you are a very fortunate man. I look at the community of FReepers who love you and support you and think how truly blessed you are.
And then I look at the personal thanks and replies you are making to those offering thoughts and prayers. This must take tremendous effort and energy on your part, yet you do it.
This indicates what we already know. You are a man of great dignity and integrity. A man who has given his life to serve others in the fight for conservative values.
And I also thank you. (Knowing it does take such effort to personally reply to posts - please don’t bother. I’m not looking for acknowledgement. Just wanted to make a few kind remarks on your behalf.)
