Only adds $900/vehicle to price tag.
Cars are so cheap, we won’t even notice this in next years pricing. /s
And Higher prices for the cars that Americans won’t buy.
The unions have destroyed the auto industry in this country. This is just throwing more dirt over their graves.
“Higher Wages, Better Benefits for Auto Workers”
And…$100,000 for a Ford focus. These guys already made as much or more than some master degreed professionals
Layoffs next year when the cars don’t sell.
Saw a YouTube video yesterday of a guy visiting various dealerships and their ridiculous prices on vehicles. This particular Ford dealership in Idaho was asking $152K for a Raptor truck. I kid you not . .
And they destroyed the steel industry, coal, appliances, etc.
50% of cars are made in the USA by non union workers.
The GOP in the House, in an election year, due to increase losses at Ford, GM and Stellantis, will have to old off against what I expect will be requests for federal bailouts for the U.S. automakers.
for all I care the auto industry can go bankrupt. And this time taxpayers had better not be billed for their bailout. place the blame on government mandates and cradle to grave entitlements demanded by greedy unions!
Will people buy UAW cars?
If that.
Suprised to see this, as I figured the car companies demand is down enough that they could afford a longer strike.
Only a few years left for them to make any money, so might as well get all they can get in the time remaining.
“50% of cars are made in the USA by non union workers.”
Thats a good start.
I haven’t bought an American car in over twenty years...
Because they suck nowadays. Literally ALL of them.
So, my next car/truck will cost $100k........................
It’s all fine and dandy as long as people keep buying the overpriced vehicles they make. However that’s not currently happening.
