I do not recall the last time a president vetoed a spending bill.
Lock it down for 15 months to stop the spread (of insanity).
There was this one by Trump but it was in his last month and overridden:
December 23, 2020: Vetoed H.R. 6395, the William M. (Mac) Thornberry National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2021.[55][56] Overridden by House, 322–87 (273 votes needed).[57] Overridden by Senate, 81–13 (63 votes needed). Enacted as Pub. L.Tooltip Public Law (United States) 116–283 (text) (PDF) over the president’s veto
And then this one by Obama: October 22, 2015: Vetoed H.R. 1735, the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2016.[37] No override attempt made.
Notice they are both Defense and not any of the unneeded departments.
I do not recall the last time a president vetoed a spending bill.

Exactly. Presidents don’t write budgets. The House does.
If Biden doesn’t like it for supper then he can have it for breakfast.
