Newly-elected House Speaker Mike Johnson’s comments on Ukraine funding on his first full day in office have some conservatives, like Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH), expressing concerns.
“To his great credit, the new speaker has been a stalwart on the Ukraine issue—voting consistently against an endless conflict with no plan from the Biden administration,” Vance tweeted on Friday morning, referencing comments Johnson made during an interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity on Thursday evening. “It’s concerning to see him change his tune so quickly after being elevated to this role.”
Others, too, have expressed concerns about Johnson on the matter.

Could be trolling. We’ll see.
.
It’s Free $$$ to the Deep State.
They’re not just going to walk away.
Waiting to be let down, again.
.
The whole House and Senate still have to vote for it. And it would come with more restrictions (e.g., humanitarian aid vs. fat pensions for Uke bureaucrats) than the unaccountable laundering of $$$ from “Pentagon accounting errors”.
And, the famous Republican circular firing squad raises its ugly head.
Screw Ukraine and its money laundering whores.
Dissapointed. War is too tempting cause of $$$. Another reason the powers that be will do everything to stop Trump. Any dummy knows all the money in the world won’t make a difference in Ukraine other than perhaps prolonging the war. Get them to the table.
What is wrong with you people? your are buying into the fallacy that money is going to transform Ukraine military into peer with Russian with 10x population, GDP and more importantly ability and capability to adapt. $150 billion as been spent and line of contact as not move...recently Russia is the one pushing now...do you not get it? there is no military solution for Ukraine.
Agree.
Example:
I would expect at the very least to vote on Ukraine and Israel on separate bills.
The worst thing would be to combine the two in order for deepstaters to hide behind an Israel vote in order to funnel 90% to corrupt Ukrainians.
If you don't know which side will prevail, you haven't been paying attention.
Actions speak louder than words, especially words “brought to you by Pfizer.”
What Johnson’s actions will be remains to be seen.
Ahhh...
Bush league chamber of commerce worshipping republiCAN’Ts....
And yet they have fought the Russians to a standstill when the “experts” were telling us that it would be over in three or four days.
Pay attention to the eventual increase in the quality and sq. ft. of his homes and bank accounts. The fix was in when he skated in on vote #1.
All Johnson has to do is not betray the voters. That is not a circular firing squad.
Just stick to what he said the first time.
True...but Russia seems to be pressing forward now on all fronts after absorbing much of the offensive...if I where Ukraine I would negotiate like North and South Korea...dreams and capturing Crimea are just that dreams stop wasting blood and treasure(US treasure).
Russia has recently made some small insignificant gains, but at what cost? It has to be asked, is all of this really worth it for Russia? Are Russian lives and wealth to be sacrificed to satisfy the ego of one person?
