Ron DeSantis Attacks Donald Trump: He ‘Lost the Zip on His Fastball, Has a Sense of Entitlement’

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) attacked Republican primary frontrunner Donald Trump in a clip shared from the campaign trail on social media, asserting that the former president has a “sense of entitlement” and accusing him of being unable to “get off that teleprompter.”

“He is wedded to the teleprompter. He can’t get off that teleprompter. Anytime he does, he says things like, ‘Don’t vote.’ He’s telling people not to vote,” DeSantis began, adding that Trump lost the popular vote to twice-failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton in 2016, arguing that “you don’t have all the votes you need.”

DeSantis continued:

And so I think that it’s just shown [that] this is a different Donald Trump than 2015 and ’16. [He] lost the zip on his fastball, has a sense of entitlement, all this stuff, doesn’t think he has to go through and earn it like other candidates, and that’s just not going to fly in Iowa [and] New Hampshire.

He did not mention Trump’s consistently tremendous leads in both New Hampshire and Iowa throughout the GOP primary.

Tuesday’s RealClearPolitics (RCP) average of polls, for example, showed Trump up by an average of 33 points in Iowa and 30.8 points in New Hampshire. Notably, DeSantis slipped to third place in the Granite State in RCP’s averages.

“And that’s why, you know, how this came to be with Iowa and New Hampshire…I’m glad that it works this way because I do think you got to earn it,” DeSantis, who is currently blitzing the Hawkeye State by visiting every county, continued.

DeSantis also emphasized the need to have a candidate who can win the general election, contending that there are “too many people that just are not going to vote for Trump at this point” while pointing to the impact of Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s independent bid.

"Has a Sense of Entitlement"

Says the selfish POS that used the Florida State Legislature to benefit him financially and politically, by getting them to change The Sunshine Laws, to cover up all his past and future travel records, and also had them change the Resign-to-Run Bill, so he could keep his Governor's job, and the paycheck that goes along with it, while he's running around the country making a fool of himself.

That's somebody who has a sense of entitlement.

Apparently many Trump followers are obsessed with the best governor In America.

RDS, the only true conservative that is running, is correct about Trump and his new addiction to teleprompters. Trump has made several Bidenesque gaffs without it. He gets world leaders wrong, says a 6 week abortion ban is terrible, he tells people in New Hampshire not to vote, he praised Cuomo, etc. He is getting too old fast.

I honestly think Trump doesn’t want to be president anymore, but needs the money desperately, hence why he has for several months been begging for RDS to drop out.

I doubt Trump gives Rhonda Santis any thought. He’s got more important things to think about in his life than that mental midget.

"Could have been a contender."

He's actually shown that he really wasn't anything special to begin with.

"Then he ran for president. Didn’t translate."

Nobody's message was going to translate against Obama. He was the chosen Messiah in 2008, not even Hillary could beat him in the primaries, and then the GOPe pushed McLame as their candidate, and the only one who brought life to that campaign was Sarah Palin.

Are you the only person on the planet blissfully unaware that Trump did not take a single paycheck while president and actually lost a great deal of money?

"77 yo Trump lost my vote at “Desanctimonious”.

LOL!! He lost your vote because of that? You are shallow, aren't you?

From now until the day I die, I will never, ever trust anyone who goes right from an Ivy League law school to a political career. This guy is a perfect example of what’s wrong with people like that.

Trump doesn’t “debate” these misfits and losers for the same reason the Texas Rangers don’t play in the Little League World Series.

Just showing up on the same field — or stage — destroys your public image.

Frump is urging people to exit the race before even a single vote has been cast. He should quit the race and worry about keeping himself out of prison.

The one thing Rhonda Santis has done well --- spectacularly well --- is prove what a loser he is.

He should drive back to Florida and open a fresh lemons stand. 🍋

How does your urging others not to vote for Trump differ from that of a Biden Democrat?

DeSantis graduated from law school in 2005. He then joined the military for a few years. He then worked for a law firm. He didn't run for Congress until 2012. Just sayin'.

How is Trump going to “mount a defense against the Marxist takeover”? He seems to be leaning to the left a lot lately. His superior accomplishments from his first term lasted about 2 seconds into Biden’s term. A successful president makes lasting changes. He failed. Even if he were to get elected, he wouldn’t be able to fill his administration with anyone other than sycophants and grifters. His “best” last time have mostly turned on him. To him, loyalty to Trump is more important than loyalty to the Constitution.

Is Ron blind and deaf? Trump constantly goes off teleprompter.
