Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) attacked Republican primary frontrunner Donald Trump in a clip shared from the campaign trail on social media, asserting that the former president has a “sense of entitlement” and accusing him of being unable to “get off that teleprompter.”
“He is wedded to the teleprompter. He can’t get off that teleprompter. Anytime he does, he says things like, ‘Don’t vote.’ He’s telling people not to vote,” DeSantis began, adding that Trump lost the popular vote to twice-failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton in 2016, arguing that “you don’t have all the votes you need.”
DeSantis continued:
And so I think that it’s just shown [that] this is a different Donald Trump than 2015 and ’16. [He] lost the zip on his fastball, has a sense of entitlement, all this stuff, doesn’t think he has to go through and earn it like other candidates, and that’s just not going to fly in Iowa [and] New Hampshire.
He did not mention Trump’s consistently tremendous leads in both New Hampshire and Iowa throughout the GOP primary.
Tuesday’s RealClearPolitics (RCP) average of polls, for example, showed Trump up by an average of 33 points in Iowa and 30.8 points in New Hampshire. Notably, DeSantis slipped to third place in the Granite State in RCP’s averages.
“And that’s why, you know, how this came to be with Iowa and New Hampshire…I’m glad that it works this way because I do think you got to earn it,” DeSantis, who is currently blitzing the Hawkeye State by visiting every county, continued.
DeSantis also emphasized the need to have a candidate who can win the general election, contending that there are “too many people that just are not going to vote for Trump at this point” while pointing to the impact of Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s independent bid.

They have meds for being delusional.
You are missing my point. I’m implying that he wants to rake in the money from the campaign donation revenue, which is way more than a president salary.
He seems to be killing his own chances with very questionable comments over the past month. I don’t know if it’s being done intentionally or subconsciously, but many of us can be prone to various forms of self sabotage for many reasons.
Based on your comment, you appear to be anti-Trump. Ergo, nothing I could tell you would change your mind or, for that matter, even be considered.
As an aside, that's what physicist Eric Weinstein says has happened to science ("Science is dead because it has been invaded by political bias"). Without objectivity, there is no scientific method.
And in America, everyone's mind has been made up--for or against. We're either preaching to the choir or spitting in the wind.
Not answering the question and basically calling me an idiot doesn’t really help here, does it. Is it because you don’t actually have an answer?
I have plenty of answers, but they won't make a bit of difference to someone who has already decided that they don't like Trump...so answering your original question would be a waste of my time and yours.
If you reach a point at which you are genuinely interested in finding out what Trump might do to save our union if reelected, there's plenty of information available right here on FR.
Need a ‘Trump takes out DeSantis with a golf shot’ gif.
How does rooting against the sunrise affect the sunrise?
Don’t kid yourself. Every move that guy made after the 8th grade was aimed at pursuing and advancing a career in politics.
I'm not kidding myself about anything. I was merely pointing out that your statement that he entered politics immediately after getting out of school was not correct.

The other strike against the guy was that he worked for the DOJ before running for public office. As far as I'm concerned, that means he deserves all the respect any decent person would give to a child molester.
agree.
I pray that many more will come to support him in his ordeal.
disagree.
ron is there for the same reason that the other also rans are there. they are place holders for the time to come in which they believe that the dems will throw trump in jail.’
they don’t think that trump can run for president in jail.
I’d be happy with either Trump or DeSantis....let the best man win as there’s much time still before election day.
Donald Trump sure works harder for his “entitlement” than anyone I’ve ever seen.

LOL! Great point. Trump is a man of action! And results!
