An original supporter of Ukraine aid, he's now reluctant at best. He has voted against the last two Ukraine bills.

He supports the extermination of Hamas.

I think he's got it about right.

The only question is whether he will adhere to the Supreme Imperative: Do not allow a bill on the floor that is not supported by the majority of the GOP conference.

Don't do it. Please.

Hacked up Hakeem called him an extreme right winger, so that’s an excellent recommendation.

It was never right to launder billions from Americans through Ukraine—and Israel seems to be the successor operation.

All those RINO/neocon/uniparty GOPe congressmen didn’t back him for nothing.

Most of a politician’s power is to be the last holdout on a vote. Thus, they grandstand and posture about things they may not give one wit about. Then, the side that does care about whatever the issue on the bill is, has to buy their vote with whatever the holdout wants. Typically, it’s something like...”you want that super water intensive project, do ya’? well you’re gonna build it in my state of Arizona.” It doesn’t matter that there’s already a water crisis there because the whole thing is about jobs to build something even if that something won’t be able to operate. Sometimes the real issue is my penis is bigger than your penis.

We’d like to think our politicians think about what the constituents want. After observing Congress for most of my life I’ve come to the conclusion that the wants or needs of the citizens don’t factor in most votes.

And is that SOP for Pelosi and the Dems when they hold the House and Speakership?
I assume yes, and if so, why oh why do the GOP lite shoot themselves in the foot by caving? Was that not part of why McCarthy was booted?

There's a broder bill in the Senate which was passed by the house. Let the Senate pass it and Biden sign it...and then we'll talk about Israel.

Now how hard is that.

In his speech in the house this morning, I heard him say that he wants to CUT spending to reduce inflation.

Dang, you mean high government spending causes inflation? Who knew?

We are $30 trillion in national debt and counting. Why are we giving foreign nations or foreign entities anything for free? It's not as though Israel lacks wealth. We have zero national interest in Ukraine except to launder money for the Bidens and others. As we increase our national debt and continue deficit spending the result is continued inflation, i.e., the devaluing of the dollar. Inflation is a insidious tax that hurts me and my children. Giving foreigners our (free) money is part of the problem. Our government's obscene spending is robbing the American middle-class and future generations. It must stop!

So far, on those two foreign policy matters, that sounds right. Let's see what he does and how he does it - maybe this is an upgrade over McCarthy.

Don’t ever do a continuing resolution for anything, get back to individual bills and absolutely no pork bills...but I digress.

Prayers for Mr. Johnson and his family. In the present environment we don’t know what evil may be perpetrated against him or members of his family. Also, that he would have the courage necessary to withstand all the hate that will be directed against him if he indeed does seek to reign in spending and gives priority to conservative goals.

I recommend he and the other Republican House require the Administration cut expenses elsewhere in government for every increase requested. Start with welfare.

Just watched the Steve Bannon interview of Matt Gaetz on Rumble.
WOW!!
Things have been such a cluster for so long long long.
This is really encouraging.
But one has to guard one’s emotions. And continue to pray for God’s mercy on America.
