Tyson, a major US producer of beef, pork and chicken, is betting on protein that comes from insects.
The meat processor said on Tuesday that it has invested in Protix, a Netherlands-based insect ingredients maker. Tyson is not only taking a minority stake in the company, but is working alongside it to build a US factory. That facility will use animal waste to feed black soldier flies, which will then be turned into food for pets, poultry and fish. Tyson did not disclose the financial specifics of the deal.
Those flies are not going into human food, at this point. “Today, we’re focused on more of [an] ingredient application with insect protein than we are a consumer application,” said John R. Tyson, chief financial officer of Tyson Food

Eet ze buggzzz!!!
See? Just like it's possible to turn grass into food fit for human consumption (feed it to cows), it's possible to turn bugs into food fit for human consumption.
Meh.
Food is food.
We invest so much into it psychologically, but our bodies have no problem processing it from sources with which we are either uncomfortable about or ignorant about.
Every eaten horseflesh? I have. No big deal.
I never buy tysin anyway.
Wood pulp is in many “Keto” products, I believe
When WEF rations insect protein, take it and feed it to your secret stash of chickens and egg-laying hens. Maybe stock a pond with fish and feed them too.
“Wood pulp is in many “Keto” products, I believe”

I have been leery of Tyson Foods for a long time;I think it was ever since I had heard that he & Clinton were friends.
Yep. That’s a sick, twisted bunch of power-tripping @$$h0les. Pride goes before destruction and they seem mighty proud of themselves these days.
The bored billionaire maggots thought up all this BS.
I am not eating that. Obama you first.
>>watch for a new euphemism for “insect protein” in food labeling
***************************************************
Just like what they got “legal” approval to do with “high fructose corn syrup”, remember?
They are allowed to list it as “natural flavoring” in the ingredient list!
>>make it a federal requirement that any products sold with insect proteins MUST have a bright green stick with a bug on it.
Any restaurants using insect proteins should also display a bright green bug next to each item.
***************************************************
Why would they do that? They WANT to deceive and feed it to you! Even if they did, though, who would actually enforce the requirement? Federal workers? See the problem here?
Agree.
They deserve punishment.
I only eat at McDonalds if I have no other option
