Democratic congressman lashed out at New York Times and Los Angeles Times for pushing false narratives on Palestinian hospital strike
Rep. Ted Lieu, D-Calif., accused The New York Times of doing something far "worse" than making a mistake, after the outlet quoted Palestinian claims blaming Israel for the explosion that rocked the al-Ahli Baptist Hospital in Gaza City earlier this week.
President Biden said that U.S. intelligence confirmed Israel was not to blame for the attack and backed up Israel's military investigation, which found the strike was caused by Palestinian terrorist group Islamic Jihad.
Users on X roasted the paper for its initial headline, which read, "Israeli strike kills hundreds in hospital, Palestinians say." The Democratic congressman joined media watchdogs and conservative commentators criticizing the paper in an X post on Thursday.

That’s surprising.
Well, the honourable member ought to be reminded that this is not the first time the NYT intentionally wrote false headlines (and stories), as witnessed by Uncle Walter's work (which even won a Pultizer Prize).
Headline bias is the first tier and most prevalent form of media bias. They know people see the headline first, and most people don’t read the article for full details. Many times the headline is 180 degrees out of phase with the content of the article.

This doesn’t pass the laugh test, Ted.
You are a known LIAR. I can’t believe YOU of all people getting exercised over this.
NY Times Lies! Dog Bites Man! Bears Crap in Woods!
You mean a media source was publishing titillating/false information to keep eyeballs engaged to view advertising?
I’ve never heard of such a thing.
Democrats just trying to cover their asses because they
are beginning to realize how bad they look and sound to
the American public. After all elections are just
around the corner.
Yeah, right?
I was just getting up to get another cup a coffee when I saw this and nearly snapped my neck doing a double take.
Man. Politics can surprise you.
Surprising
