I don’t know if this is true or not, but I read somewhere that if Hitler was alive today and he was brought into an American court to be put up for trial for all his atrocities against the jews, they wouldn’t be able to get a conviction or have a really hard time getting one because there would be no paper trail. There is no documentation that Hitler ordered the Holocaust (though there are eyewitnesses, long since deceased, who were there when he verbally did).
Maybe luck. More likely his lawyers chose the venue deliberately.
Once they get a jury of Harlem blacks, with no jews because they all mouthed off on social media the last few days and get excluded...
Lawfare’s chickens... coming home ... !
Dibs on the popcorn franchise...
This is like Hamas suing ISIS, as far as I’m concerned.
Good
True.
I seriously expected this to be a Babylon Bee article, LOL!!!
If Hitler were alive today, he would deny saying anything about killing Jews and claim he was misquoted by conspiracy nuts
In short, he would be a Democrat
“Why is he still alive?”
The “Mothership” needs a new pilot.
Are they clinging onto life because they believe there is nothing after, or is God giving them additional time to repent of their sins?
And then there are the truly good, who God takes far too early. Like the young man who died on our family farm almost forty years ago. Killed in a freak tractor accident. He was only nineteen.
"The good die young," my grandmother said later that night. That's the only answer I've ever found, now on the cusp of fifty.
why not 5 trillion or 5 quadrillion?
Who to root for? Louie or the ADL.
Tough one but in this case I root for Louie.
“Can specious lawsuits be thrown out by a judge?”
Yes. One possibility is that the ADL moves to dismiss the case on the basis of Milkovich v. Lorain Journal Co., 479 US 1 (1990). There, SCOTUS held that a statement of opinion is not defamatory unless it implies a false statement of fact. There’s no defamation action for a statement like “_____ is the worst president in history” whether the blank is filled in with Biden or Trump. Calling someone an anti-Semite is arguably in the same category. It’s not like saying “He painted swastikas on a synagogue.”
If the allegedly defamatory statement does concern a matter of fact, then, as others have pointed out, truth is a defense. ADL could move for summary judgment based on Farrakhan’s extensive record of public condemnation of Jews and Judaism.
In either of these scenarios, the judge could toss the case without letting Farrakhan ever get to a jury. I predict that that’s what will happen (unless Farrakhan, having gotten his headlines, withdraws his case first).
I figure the individuals you mentioned have lived so long because Heaven doesn’t want them, while Hell is afraid they will take over.
If he ain’t, who is?
“The good die young,” my grandmother said later that night. That’s the only answer I’ve ever found, now on the cusp of fifty.”
Since my recent birthday started with the number eight, I must not be good!
If Hitler had lived to go to trial, he’d have said “I neffer killed anyvun…I vas only giffing orders!”
Amazing. Thanks!
