Biden's call for more war cash includes $14 billion to faciliate the entry of illegals

Like he always does, Joe Biden wants more money in his hands from Congress.

After actively scheming to imprison his political opponents, Biden says it's time to let bygones be bygones and embrace the national unity, calling his new request for $105 billion in war cash a "smart investment that's going to pay dividends for American security for generations."

A smart investment? Everything he seeks spending money for is a "smart investment." In this context, though, the 'ick factor' was strong, because he sounded as though he was trying to sell us a timeshare.

Buried within his request was what appeared to be a nod to American national security rather than Israel's or Ukraine's: a claim that $14 billion of that money would go to "border security."

After all, when 8 million people are being allowed into the country under catch-and-release, flooding our cities and filling the streets with crime, and election time is beckoning, maybe a little border security could be slipped in as a sweetener to Republicans.

But according to congressional observers, that's what Biden would like you to think, not what Biden has in mind.

According to the New York Post:

One lawmaker, however, expressed concern that the money wouldn’t actually be used to tighten up the border.

“It’s got to be designed to secure the border, not to facilitate travel through the border,” Sen. Kevin Cramer (R-ND) told the Associated Press

Biden's idea of "border security" is faster processing times for illegal migrants to be allowed into the country, not a wall to keep illegal crossers out.

With every asylum claim treated equally, whether one is a tattooed male cartel member, a red-tshirted Chavista slum enforcer, a product of Venezuela's emptied jails, an economic migrant country-shopping for the best deal,

What about therapy costs for those supporters of Hamas who fear backlash? Not to mention possibly being shut out for job opportunities for signing a paper supporting Hamas against the "atrocities" of the Israelis?

Quotes from the 1951 Refugee Convention:

Article 23 - Public relief

The Contracting States shall accord to refugees lawfully staying in their territory the same treatment with respect to public relief and assistance as is accorded to their nationals.

Article 17 - Wage-earning employment
....
2. In any case, restrictive measures imposed on aliens or the employment of aliens for the protection of the national labour market shall not be applied to a refugee...who fulfils one of the following conditions:
(a) He has completed three years’ residence in the country;
....
(c) He has one or more children possessing the nationality of the country of residence.

Article 34 - Naturalization [and getting the right to vote (and buy AR-15s)]

The Contracting States shall as far as possible facilitate the assimilation and naturalization of refugees. They shall in particular make every effort to expedite naturalization proceedings and to reduce as far as possible the charges and costs of such proceedings.

https://www.ohchr.org/en/instruments-mechanisms/instruments/convention-relating-status-refugees

Article 44 - Denunciation [getting out from under the Refugee Convention]
1. Any Contracting State may denounce this Convention at any time by a notification addressed to the Secretary-General of the United Nations.
2. Such denunciation shall take effect for the Contracting State concerned one year from the date upon which it is received by the Secretary-General of the United Nations....

NOTE: I do not trust any politician to end leftist migrant mercenary-based political takeovers who has not called for invoking Article 44 to get the US out from under the Refugee Convention.

And my distrust extends to Trump and DeSantis.

The Refugee Convention must be removed from the Democratic Party toolbox by invoking Article 44.

Article 31. - Refugees unlawfully in the country of refuge

1. The Contracting States shall not impose penalties, on account of their illegal entry or presence, on refugees who, coming directly from a territory where their life or freedom was threatened in the sense of article 1, enter or are present in their territory without authorization, provided they present themselves without delay to the authorities and show good cause for their illegal entry or presence.
2. The Contracting States shall not apply to the movements of such refugees restrictions other than those which are necessary and such restrictions shall only be applied until their status in the country is regularized or they obtain admission into another country. The Contracting States shall allow such refugees a reasonable period and all the necessary facilities to obtain admission into another country.

Article 32. - Expulsion

1. The Contracting States shall not expel a refugee lawfully in their territory save on grounds of national security or public order.
2. The expulsion of such a refugee shall be only in pursuance of a decision reached in accordance with due process of law. Except where compelling reasons of national security otherwise require, the refugee shall be allowed to submit evidence to clear himself, and to appeal to and be represented for the purpose before competent authority or a person or persons specially designated by the competent authority.
3. The Contracting States shall allow such a refugee a reasonable period within which to seek legal admission into another country. The Contracting States reserve the right to apply during that period such internal measures as they may deem necessary.

The Refugee Convention by permitting illegal entry (and entry upon any request) makes it impossible to secure the border. We need to get out from under the Refugee Convention.

Someone tell me that I am wrong to say we have more than a million man army in this country currently, ready to poison every water supply, burn every inch of farmland, shoot up every church school and shopping center, blow up every gas station and derail every train.

And someone tell me I’m wrong when I say 90% of Americans are too stupid, fat, lazy, unprepared and outright too cowardly to do anything about it. Then ask yourself what this means.

This is what we’ve come to. We’ve fallen so low as a country that an American
candidate is only electable by whatever he says (and doe$) about a foreign country.

A demented Biden’s reelection chance were nil, according to the laws of diminishing returns...........
until the attack on Israel fell in his lap. Now he’s suddenly morphed into a “strong, decisive “leader.”

Our own (cough) “president” is hectoring Congress.....not to finance America’s needs.....
Biden wants $100 billion for Israel and Ukraine.

Biden’s spending billions we do not have, then saddles taxpayers with the onerous borrowing costs.
Taxpayers’ children and grandchildren are compelled to pay the outrageous bills.

<><>Why does the US have to go into debt for these pampered foreigners?
<><>Why cant they stand on their own two feet?
<><>Why cant wealthy Israel and money-grubbing Ukraine do the borrowing for their own needs?

$14 billion tax dollars sought under the guise of .....drum roll please.......“border security”

Joe Biden seeks your Billions to Fly, Bus More Migrants into U.S. Communities

SOURCE: Breitbart ^ | 10/20/2023 | NEIL MUNRO
FR Posted on 10/20/2023, 12:32:40 PM by ChicagoConservative27

Biden’s deputies are asking Congress for an extra $14 billion tax dollars to help bus illegal migrants up to the U.S. border and onward into hotels in many cities and towns around the nation.

The request is being touted as “border security” even though very few funds would be used to exclude economic migrants.

For example, Biden’s deputies have ushered more than 300,000 economic migrants through the U.S. border in September alone. The 2023 inflow has added up to roughly 2.5 million, not counting legal migrants and temporary workers.

Instead, much of the $14 billion requested would be used
<><>to help more job-seeking migrants reach the U.S. border,
<><>to register and release them,
<><>and then bus them to hotels, job training, and American workplaces around the US.

In total, about $113.1 billion in funding for Ukraine was authorized in 2022, according to an analysis by the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget. Most of that – about $67.1 billion – was for defense-related spending, the CRFB said. The other $46 billion included $26.9 billion for an economic support fund; $7.9 billion for international disaster assistance; $6.6 billion in assistance for refugees; $1.5 billion for assistance for Europe, Eurasia and Central Asia; plus another $3.1 billion for other nondefense spending.

The U.S. Agency for International Development has been coordinating with the Treasury Department to distribute authorized economic aid to Ukraine in tranches. In a report published on Feb. 17, USAID said it had so far provided $13 billion in “direct budget support” to the government of Ukraine, or “GoU” for short.

“This funding has helped the Ukraine pay the salaries of 618,000 educators, 517,000 health workers, and 56,500 first responders,” the report says. “It has also helped them to sustain critical healthcare services, meet its pension responsibilities for 9.8 million people, assist 1.3 million internally displaced persons, provide housing assistance to 4.1 million people, and provide social assistance to 240,000 low-income families and 480,000 persons with disabilities.”

That report did not say how much was spent on pensions, but a USAID spokesperson sent us another USAID report to Congress that indicated $4 billion of budget support for Ukraine was spent on pensions as of Nov. 30, 2022.

The bottom line: While the video of Biden talking about providing funding to pay Ukrainian pensioners may have caught some by surprise, the fact is that Biden made those comments BEFORE Congress approved the money months ago on a bipartisan basis.

================================================

Update, Feb. 23, 20243: After we published this story, a USAID spokesperson responded to our request for more information. We updated this story to include the amount spent on pensions
