Here is how the game has been played in DC for over 2 decades now.. The US House GOP is told “oh you have to only pass bills that the Senate will vote for and the White House will sign”.

The result is the House GOP consistently passes hard Left Democrats Legislation to “get things done”. The Democrat get all the political benefits while the GOP gets all the blame from the voters. This game has got to stop being played by the GOP. This is a chance to do that.

This is a chance for the GOP to start actively using the power of the US House to say “You want something done Senate? You want something done White House? Here is what we passed. Either vote for it or reject it. We have done our job.”

I think that you are confusing Carlos Gimenez (R-FL) with Tony Gonzales (R-TX). But, yes, the right Texas congressman’s office to call is that of Tony Gonzales, not Vicente Gonzalez (D-TX).
