Does the FBI have enough self-awareness of its unpopularity among the American people to use it against their foes? In the old days, J. Edgar Hoover would leak (or state publicly) someone’s communist affiliations to destroy them. Would the FBI now leak real or fake association with the FBI itself to damage someone’s reputation?

Just because somebody talks to the FIB......ever heard of Palantir? They have a lot of government contracts. Thiel owns it. Obviously he doesn’t want the government PO’d at him and cancelling his companies’ contracts. That doesn’t mean he’s in bed with them.
